This partnership could well save England. Especially if they can get upto the Aussies score. Monty looks like a batsman out there lol

Why does everyone say Monty's a bad batsman? Looks a decent tailender to me...

are the cheers for monty just from english fans or from aussies as well?
TBF, this stuff about Monty being Sledged by the Aussie crowd, was always going to be nonsense, the guys likeable, thats all part of his appeal.

Shot BTW, Lara-esque:laugh:

All out, hopefully Hayden and Langer can pile on the runs after tea. When the English people on the board wake up they're going to get quite a shock tbh, although it could have been alot worse if not for KP, Harmison and Monty.

Bloody Harmison gets out, stopping Montys maiden half-century.

Good effort by ten and eleven though, Makes you wonder why Hoggard still bats at 9.

Good on you Old Blighty for restoring some interest into this game. If they gave up a lead of over 80 I would have tuned out

Gun of an on-drive from Monty there. What a shot. Just about the shot of the day and I'm not seeing why people have been saying he's a bunny. Either he's been under-estimated or he's improved out of sight!

Even with England getting so close to the Aussie, the fact remains that the Aussies only got 244 and the fact they're not in front by at least 50-100 should disappoint them. The pitch doesn't look that difficult and it's not done anything outrageous. The Aussies might feel a bit frustrated in not finishing off England quicker (considering their start) but that'll subside when they realise they're in with the best chance to win the game right now.

test match kind of reminds me of Antigua 2003, very interesting second phase of this test about to unfold.
