Symo i think he was WORTH IT ... the selectors got it right i think... just shows how useful another bowler can be... also in the 2nd dig he can bowl his offies...loved the Flintoff delivery
not to mention he has saved a BULK of runs with his fielding

The last 2 tests will waste everyone's time really. This England team are woeful. If they didn't have Pietersen they would struggle against Scotland

It will be disapointing for the rest of the series if the last 2 tests are dead rubbers. However with 16 wickets in 4 sessions I don't think this game will be a draw and England, despite what they end up with in their first innings will need to bowl out of their skins if they are to be any chance of making Melbourne a 'live' test.

Well, I do not see the point in KP taking singles and letting Hoggard have the strike.
Now that he is down to the tail maybe it is time for him to start smashing the ball around and to try and get the maximum possible runs he can for the side - like Sanga did for SL in the 1st test and in the 2nd test.
