I have no interest in being fair to arguably the worst selection of my lifetime.

Nothing against him really (good domestic t20 player, could be decent value on the franchise circuit) but whoever picked him for here in this role is a joke.

Looked every inch a batsmen with a first class average of 33 that innings did Bracewell.

Not a bad average for no.8? So 8 batters doesn't help I guess if the top order doesn't fire. Trying to plug one hole we have carved up few more massive holes I guess. How are we going to take 20 wickets? If one main bowler has an off day we're domed. Mitchell will have to bowl like he's batting.

This experiment of using batters at 7, 8 should stop I think. Either give them their rightful spots or don't play them.

Fair call but just got to back them now that good old Gary and Kane end up making these strange calls. Must admit this had to be the strangest call ever made. It's still only day 2, you never know how it goes. Strange things happen
