I was saying good things about Henry's earlier spell where he took the wicket, but his next spell and the start of this one have been piss. Hence why he's going at econ of 5.15 for the innings.

Kyle Jamieson has been looking like Jacob Oram for 9 months now - another Please Explain for Stead and bowling coach Jurgenson.
As much as there probably needs to be a change in the coaching camp, Stead can't be blamed for this one.
It's up to the bowler themselves to be in peak condition, and Kyle's had plenty of time to be prepared physically and mentally for this.
But to be fair, he looked like he was just about back to business after the 1st test.
This is the most placid pitch I can recall the blackcaps playing on for many a year, so maybe not too many conclusions should be drawn here.
Don't rule the big fella out of playing a big role in the 3rd test and levelling the series.

First test he was back to bowling outswingers, getting the occasional inswinger to go too, and reasonably consistent on line and length. This test he's barely swinging it, a bit of 'shape' at best, and the line has often strayed. Think he tried to bowl an inswinger before but it came out more like a slower legcutter - whatever reason it's just not happening for him today.
