Deadset Cronulla need to sack their defensive coach/es.

It has been that dire. Two 75-80m tries is just unacceptable, no wonder they have never won anything.

I don't really like either of the two teams playing at the moment, but seeing as how the Rabbitohs have got a few Kiwis then I suppose it's my duty to be supporting them.

The Rabbitohs are contenders this year. They look the goods

mmmmmmmm, not in this thread though...anyway, another good win from the Bunnies, they're looking like a genuine top 8 team at this early stage. I guess their biggest test will come if they get struck by a few injuries, and of course when the play the Storm or Cowboys.

Speaking of the Cowboys, Thurston has to be the best player in the league by a fair margin at this point in time. Inglis, Benji & Sonny bill get the raps as the men who'll be the face of the league etc. etc. when afaic Thurston is so far ahead of them at this Stage it isn't funny. Sure he's a few years older than them, but in terms of producing consistently brilliant performances, he has all 3 of the covered.

Definately true Clapo, Thurston is an absolute star in my eyes and basically the only reason I watch the Cowboys play. The players know how good he is though, I can't remember who it was but one current player said that he will be the "star of the NRL for the next ten years"

The game between cowboys and dragons today showed what Clapo and Ritchie are talking about. During the time Thurston was on field he was absoloutely brilliant, everything was going their way and the second he was off 2 scores were scored against them. He single handedly controls the game for mine. Brilliant player by a fair margin.

One could also say it was a litte too "perfect" for Webcke to go out a winner last year.

Obviously you'd call them an idiot for saying so and rightfully so. But it makes as much sense as that rubbish, tbph.
dont deny that at all tbh...

Warriors will be looking for their third win in a row, really hoping they can do well against the Storm.

Storm really just unleashing on the Warriors, our defence isn't organised enough to withstand this sort of attack.

Really disappointed with how the Roosters played today. We should have come close to beating Manly, they had a lot of players out and didn't seem to be giving 100% but the Roosters didn't even come close. Some of the players like Minichiello, Anasta and Wing seem to be trying but they just lack any creative spark whatsoever and the forwards haven't provided much go ahead. I think a lot of the players at the club have been overrated snce Fittler was at the club when he lifted the team to another level. There were a couple of positives though with Mitchell Pearce looking like a star of the future and Minichiello starting to regain some form. Hopefully they'll improve as the season goes on and give a good account of themselves next week against the Broncos.

The Storm seemed to do it easy today, possibly could've laid more points on if it weren't for a number of handling errors. Falou is certainly a player to watch out for, he certainly knows how to find the goaline.

The Dogs & Titans game had some great defence in it imo, and the doggies came out deserved winners. Their 1st try however was a contender for the worst ref decision of the year. I thought it was the NFL not NRL there for a second.

The Warriors matched the Storm after the initial 14-0 onslaught.

We would have made a game of it if we had have shown some attacking flair but for some reason we just didn't click today.

Storm defence was immense though.
A positive for us was that we didn't give up when we went behind early even if things wern't going to plan...

Not impressed with Logan Swann's dive though.

Sam Rapira (sp?) scored one of the softest tries I have seen. See I told you lot about Falou.

Also Carl Webb is out for 8 weeks and it turns out it didn't matter if Brisbane won or not because they fielded an extra player after Brad Thorn forgot to give his interchange card before running on. Meanwhile there are stories going about Tame Tupou wanting a release to play in England if he isn't given any games soon.

Argh, not Carl Webb. One of my favourite players. Didn't manage to catch much of the Warriors game, ended up falling asleep on the couch. From what I seen, the first 20 minutes we were completely outclassed and our defense just wasn't organised enough.
