Damien Martyn / Darren Lehmann would have probably never played for au either. If Kallis was Australian we wouldn't have lost a series for 20 years
Another one the crims overrate so much.Damien Martyn would have probably never played for au either.
Can you imagine the batting order? Hayden Langer Ponting Kallis SWaugh MWaugh Gilchrist.Damien Martyn / Darren Lehmann would have probably never played for au either.
YepA repeat of yesterday, where England have just inexplicably served up an hour of piss weak cricket at a time when they're threatening to take control of the match.
Except in India ofc.Can you imagine the batting order? Hayden Langer Ponting Kallis SWaugh MWaugh Gilchrist.
You'd never be bowled out under 400.
Tbf given Kallis is one of the best overseas batsmen in Asia ever, he could be the difference maker there.Except in India ofc.
That's exactly where Kallis helps so much though. In Aus conditions he wouldn't make that much of a difference, but he'd make that lineup beastly overseas. English conditions are probably still a slight weakness but fmd.Except in India ofc.
You only just realised this?Slater hasn't watched any cricket outside Australia lately if he thinks Australia's tail has wagged.
FairYou only just realised this?
He will block one end and the 'hard but fair/intent' approach would lead to lollapses with Hayden trying to be a slog sweep hero. That's exactly where Kallis helps so much though. I think he's dropping his pace deliberately tbf. He did it yesterday to try and bowl tight lines and cutters, then once a new batsman came in he was immediately 140+ again.Broad's hardly bowled and his pace is still down. Has he had injury issues recently? If not really bad management for him to not be in optimum physical shape for the 1st test.
