Im most interested in how Crespo goes for Chelsea.
If he can perform the type of goals hes scored for Inter & Lazio over the last couple of years then Chelsea will definately finish in the top 3.

I don't think we'll see Crespo so much in the Premierleague these first few weeks, especially when the CL gets into full swing.

You can't fit 4 strikers in a team, as Man Utd proved a few years ago. There will most probably be one successful partnership (think Yorke and Cole) and two players on the sidelines (think Solskjaer and Sheringham). Fine if the two missing out accept they are only part of a squad.

Either that or like Liverpool, they will chop and change every week and nobody will produce anything of note.

Also, don't expect Portsmouth to roll over at Highbury. Although apparently they haven't won there since 1955 and lost 6-0 on their last visit (in 1987).

I read a letter in a soccer mag and I felt it was funny - If Chelsea dont finsh in the top 3 then its fans should name a toliet block after Roman Ambravich who started out in the portable toliet business.

Hmmmmm....

have Arsenal already run into their first form slump so early in the season? last year they waited until a couple of months later b4 things started to unravel, but the warning signs are already here in a big way!

Most emphasis at the moment is on their defence - no news there, but my concern is with their attack, which seems strange after my comments re the M'bro match a month ago. Seems like they have gone off the boil since the break for international fixtures.

In both the matches V Man City & Portsmouth, the Arsenal attack / tactics have shown an inabilty to adjust to teams defending in depth against them, with both teams seemingly prepared to conceed the middle third of the pitch to keep behind the ball to deny Arsenal's pace and to shut down the room for their short passing game.

After the mid week debacle v Inter this weekend sees the Gunners at Old Trafford. Utd will be full of confidence so far as recent form goes for each side, and Arsenal must dig deep & get a result from this match or their season could fall apart in the face of the improving Chelski.

The next 4 - 6 weeks are crucial to Arsenal with games v Man Utd, Newcastle, Liverpool & Chelski in the EPL, as well as ECL matches v Kiev & Lokomotiv.

a goalless draw at Old Trafford in a game full of incident towards the end....

vierra sent off for 2 yellows and van then man misses the ensuing penalty & Arsenal players criticised for celebrating the miss in his face!!!!

Talk that the FA may yet again be brought in to view video evidence of this and other incidents in the game, and in particular another clash between Van N & Keown.

Our thoughts for Sol Campbell & his family following the sudden death of his father last week.

Crespo's finishing against Wolves was awesome despite the fact that Wolves are total ****e on defence.

That is why I like Italian football. They know what defence means, whereas some managers dont know what it means in the EPL.

Lets look at it this way...

Italian football is boring, but its effective..who were the 2 finalists in the Champions league last season? and didn't 3 Italian teams finish in the top 4? Juventus, AC Milan & Inter Milan.

You could also argue that English rugby is boring, but at the moment you can't really criticise them because they are winning.

Only because Man U can't beat Real Madrid. We could have taken the Italians (any of them).

Are you sure? Man Utd can't even beat Arsenal (who I feel are overrated in Europe)
