***Offical*** English Football Season 2004/05

If Everton win tonight (I hope they do), they will go to second if Arsenal lose to Chelsea who will be without Patrick Vieira and it will probably be some toss up between Almunia and Lehmann. Personally Lehmann is a better option.

Will West Brom break the drought and win against Charlton?

I reitterate the above words. Pires dives to get a freekick and then Mr Arsenal fan Poll lets them take a quick freekick without telling Chelsea - if you let them you also have to tell the opposision.

Stop whining Tom, that was probably the best game i've seen this season, two top sides competing and probably a just result in the end. Chelsea were unlucky to be behind at half time but Fabregas was running the game last 15. Maybe you are just upset that John Terry only mentioned Arsenal and Everton when asked about title rivals.

As for the free kick, its in the rules, i dont see a problem with it, Eidue Gudjonson didnt have a problem with it, and united didnt have a problem with it when Beckham scored that one against Blackburn 2 years ago.

And what was that about Henry going missing in the big games?

Ignoring the foul on him I see.

So Gudjohnsen who was all of 2 metres away when he should've been 10 wasn't listening?

Read the book broken dreams, exposes football and people like redknapp for all there dodgy deals. But you've still got to love the man, one of the ugliest people ever, talking about the wife sleeping with teh milkman to produce something like jamie!!
That is so true. I doubt it was the milkman tho! Redknapp Snr & Lampard Snrs' wives (who are sisters for those who didn't know) must be seriously good looking....both Jamie & Frank are pretty handsome in my books and as topcat says their fathers are no lookers!

IIRC Harry had a v bad car-crash where his face got busted up pretty good. In his younger years he wasn't the ugmo he is now.

Can't find any excuse for Frank Snr tho! :D

Nope!
Yay, Norwich City won a game lol. My mum, as a Norwich fan, is ecstatic. I wonder if they'll win any more....
One more thing- Robert Green for England!

Well, we've managed three points from two away games this week - I'd have taken it, given that I expected an almighty FA Cup hangover.

Scarborough visit the Park on Saturday - come on boys, three points please!

You a fellow East Anglian then, Anna?

Rob Green's a steady keeper, but I reckon he needs to be two or three inches taller!

Nope. My mum is so I have a bit of a soft spot for them.
Carlo Cudicini's about the same size as him and is the best keeper in the premiership!

If there's a sudden outbreak of injury to remove the 3 who are clearly better than him, then yes.
Er, I rate Greeny higher than Paul Robinson, who imo is distinctly average; I haven't really seen much of Chris Kirkland, so I couldn't comment on him. With a few more years experience under his belt (he's only 24) Green can go on to be England keeper.

He is!! He was injured at the start of the season, so Cech started and has kept his place because Jose doesn't want to disrupt the team....that's how I see it anyway!!

Some one please explain to a novice football fan how the goal by Henry was allowed. I dont know the rules like Murinho.

Basically, you can take the free kick when you want, you don't have to wait for the wistle, its the defending teams fault if they aren't ready, they committed the offence in the first place.

He's already older than Robinson and Kirkland though isn't he?

In cricket a bowler can bowl the ball any time. The batsman has to be ready. Yet we dont find this exercised even once. Just came to my mind.

Thanks for clearing this up though about football.
