i would think thats good news for Man U, we have shuffling keepers for the majority of last season and Van der Sar is pretty decent. So United has 2 solid keepers now in Van dr Sar & Howard

He is another goal-keepr that we have had since we lost Schimeichel 5 years ago, thier was Carroll, Barthez, Van der Gouw, Bosnich & one more i cant put my finger on
the other one was taibi, who was a complete disaster.

and howard is not solid.

Maybe, but he's injury prone anyway, so if they find a decent pairing Wenger might decide it's not worth splitting them up. (I'm ignoring the league cup in this)

As for marc, I'm not the ar$ewipe with 33,711 (and counting) to my name, so don't bother telling me to shut up.
shut up.

erratic would be a better word, he is an ok shot stopper i agree, however every other aspect of his game is extremely suspect and in-consistant.

:lmao: at Manchester United getting Edwin van der Sar. Honestly, didn't they learn when they bought Barthez?
Except Van de sar is a far better keeper than Barthez ever was. I for one am happy at the signing.

Judging on his first season he was solid. His second season he was pretty bad so overall he'd be ok.

his first season he was dropped for long periods and replaced by roy carrol, he was by no means solid.

i am positive, carrol played in large amounts of the games last season, remember the FA cup semi final against arsenal and all the games surrounding it ?

A first season with mistakes followed by a second season when he was displaced by Roy Carroll?

That now counts as OK?

No wonder Buffon has said he'll only move to a side who can challenge for the CL, meaning Manure isn't an option.

when i said ``solid`` i was refering mainly to howard i meant that Man U are better covered at the back now than they were before

The same Ricardo that "Sir" Alex released?
Aussie asked for a Man Utd keeper that failed and he wasn't one of them that he himself had remembered so I was just helping him out.

You what?

Howard isn't a top keeper and if the laws were applied evenly wou;dn't even have been allowed to sign in the first place!

Hell will freeze over before he leaves Juventus, unless it is an offer he could not possibly say no to. And besides with the level of debt (United) they are in, they can't afford the transfer fee he would command.

BTW how is Glazer coming along in getting his wish to take the club off the stock market meaning no AGM's? Any predications that he might have to give up the club in several years time because the level of debt is too much and the interest alone is beyond me.
