I wouldn't mind Figo but it appears that either of the UEFA Cup teams is a better chance for him. Also, looks like Ji-Sung Park is pretty close to going to United for a rather marginal fee to sayt the least.
Ah, nice to see United make a signing based entirely on footballing and not in the least on commercial reasoning (!)

Sorry, but Figo can **** off, overrated IMO, and I can't stand us resorting to signing someone who once played for about my 5th most hated team (Real Madrid).

Rant over.

Not going crazy over him but wouldn't mind it. Park though I think would be a good signing and it's not about the money.

The ultimate joke is that Keiran Richardson and Peter Crouch are going to win England caps tomorrow night
I never thought I would see the day that Zat Knight and Luke Young to playing for England. Surely not that they are England material?

Also depends on how quickly he can get a Spanish or Portugese passport!
Or an Italian.

There is so many South Americans running around with Italian passprts I'm starting to wonder if they give them out at birth regardless.

IIRC if he goes to Real or Barcelona after a two years he can apply for a Spanish passport.

AND his former coach Luxemburgo. 8-)
The word is he will be out of a job pretty soon.

It is obvious nobody at Real understands football because they wouldn't have got ridden of Cambiasso or Makelele or paid 14m on an injury prone player like Woodgate. Woodgate is good, but an injury prone player leans me to say forget about it.

Most definitely not! It's a joke.

Loving the comments some disgruntled Manchester Buccaneers fans have left on that website...

Mate, you're a class A ******.

1. It's a cup, a league, a trophy, a competition but it isn't a ****ing series!

2. It's not the 'Charlton Addicts', it's Charlton Athletic. They're knickname is the Addicts but you don't stick it on the end of their ****ing name!

3. Winningest? Since when was that a ****ing word?
My fellow Man U fan,
A few things...please logon onto the official Manutd.com site and learn more so your endeavours are not wasted.
E.g. Diego Forlan did play for Utd but was not good enough for the Premier League, so he was sold.
Roy Keane (Keano) is Irish, so he can't play for England.

They sound like Motson in the thread where someone was jokily discounting all the highest scores in Test history one by one. For the record winningest is a word... use it all the time in Scrabble context, such an such a move is winningest (it wins more often than any other move).

you yanks wanna keep your mouth shut about something you clearly know NOTHING about. You dont hear British people talking about Amercian Football (how much padding do they wear) or ice hockey (how much padding do they wear ?) so leave the "Soccer" to us will ya, we dont need to break the US, we were big enough and profitable enough already , so all you yanks can go suck a puck !

For your information (please take note of this otherwise British people will continue to laugh at you)

We DONT call them "twelve yard goal challenge" we call them PENALTIES , or in this case a PENATLY SHOOT OUT. a twelve yard challenge sounds more like something youd do in the pub with a rather tall glass of beer.

We DONT call it the European Series, its called the UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, again your trying to ruin our national game with your idiotic americanised terms.

FOOTBALL was started around 1890 , the last time Utd won the European Cup (not series) was indeed in the sixties, under a man called Sir Matt Busby, now this man is a legend in football, and some of the best players EVER seen in football history were playing then, clearly you know nothing about the history of the game.

THE WORST ONE OF THE LOT - Manchester are a northern team you SPASTIC ! look on any map of the UK, Manchester and Liverpool are right near each other and are in the NORTH of ENGLAND

You CANNOT refer to MUFC simply as Manchester, there are two teams from Manchester, United and City, both in the Premiership, so please from now on , its Man Utd or Manchester Utd. Saying just Manchester shows everyone how little you know about football.......

Until you get these facts right , there is no way you can use the term WE , Manchester Utd do not need you as a fan, they already are one the biggest teams in Europe, so stick to your American Football and go stick your dollars up your fat butt !
:lol::lol:

Zat Knight was once rejected after a trial City on the ground that he "was sh*te. Underdeveloped, lacking coordination and confidence and his touch was awful."

"He could run though. Also, he was young and desperate to be a pro. He applied for lots of trials and in the end we were amazed to find out he succeeded..."
