releasing figo is not a bad move at all, figo is arrogant and is well past his best, however the same cannot be said of zidane and i assure you that he will not be released. As a replacement for him they are lining up robinho from santos in brazil.

might face competition from other sides around europe such as arsenal for his signature.
i wont be surprised if real wins the battle for him in the end, they've got the money plus he might feel comfortable going to play their with fellow countrymen

arsenal also have brazilian players like gilberto, although edu has just been released, recently in an interview robinho said that it would be his dream to play along side Henry at arsenal....so we will see :p

Mourinho & his chelsea mates along with Ashley Cole have been found guilty of ``tapping up``. First time i have ever heard about this in football
If it's the first time you've ever heard of it I suggest you've been following football about 2 minutes.

Bad news for Real Madrid Figo has been released
Since they've (apparently) chosen to release him, how is it bad news for them?

If he was any good they wouldn't be releasing him!

The Olympiakos coach resigns to stop tension between the players who support him and the player who do not like him. He won 2 titles for them, although I cannot remember his name at this moment.

Also depends on how quickly he can get a Spanish or Portugese passport!
reminds me of the time when inter tried to get recoba on a greek passport or something, uefa inspected this and it turned out to be invalid and completely illegal, the end result was thet recoba was banned from professional football at any level for the next 12 months, laugh if that happens again.

seeing as he's just said its the first time he's heard of it happening i doubt they'll be another example forthcoming.

I got what he meant the first time.

the signing spree continues at BP, Richard Butcher signing on a Bosman from Lincoln, and Bristol City accepting a bid for Paul Heffernan. And apparently the deal for Luke Beckett is still a possibility.

I don't know why Robinho would go to Real Madrid. That'd be a real dog fight with Owen, Raul and Ronaldo. If he went to Arsenal he'd surely be guaranteed starting or maybe Chelsea.

I wouldn't mind Figo but it appears that either of the UEFA Cup teams is a better chance for him. Also, looks like Ji-Sung Park is pretty close to going to United for a rather marginal fee to sayt the least.
