Well, that's an incredibly weak, rose-tinted and bigoted refusal to see the slightest shortcomings in the club you blindly worship.

Halsey, you're now officially only number 2 Man Utd glory boy.
To be fair, Halsey's nowhere near as blinkered as he once was - he's even accepted it's a case of going on too long for Taggart.

I never would have expected West Brom to do it. My word!! Anyway, be good to see who comes in in the summer. If it's a goalkeeper it's gotta be Cudicini. Anybody else won't cut it and then we can release Carroll and get a quality midfielder hopefully.
And I assume Ricardo is going on a free (that is right who?) which would give you Tim howard, Luke Steele and somebody else. Marc is Luke Steele any good? I read on a different forum that he is a future England no.1 goal keeper (well he is a United fan).

Shows the kind of in-house hero worship Premiership fans have.Cudicini is nowhere near as good as Buffon,Toldo, etc.

I personally think United should try to sign Christian Abbiati, unless he's disintegrated so rapidly that he's not worth signing.

I'm sure even Frey and Carini would give Cudicini a run for his money.

One goal in nine from 23 Feb to 4 April.

6 in 17 Premiership games.

That's even worse than I thought it was.
And if you throw in goals in the Champions League and any for Holland he may have picked up it still makes it a poor season.

Well he got some good reviews when at City, but the telling factor is that when Ian Bennett (3rd choice for Birmingham) was available, we signed him and Steele was relegated to the bench. If anything Bennett played a key role in keeping us up, since when he came in, the defence felt more confident and started to play as a unit far more than when in front of Steele, and then they were able to keep that solidity when Steele returned.

At the moment, I'd say it's early days, but he's not going to overtake the likes of Kirkland or Robinson!

On a side note, we now have no keepers at the club.

Are you for real???Well the season has just finished, but if you'll have to sign atleast 3 goalies in the summer [possibly 2 on loan],won't that affect your overall squad improvement?

Toldo has slipped in the last two seasons, but it appears he is getting back to his best, his contract is up next year and maybe he has been told to prove he is worthy of a new contract.

Iker Casillas has said he would consider a move to United, maybe him as Ferguson is a fan of him, but it would depend on price.

Coventry can have Inter 3rd choice 'keeper Alberto Fontana, he is on a free. Seriously though there are probably better options.

With the two day probe about to begin with the alleged 'tapping-up' of Ashley Cole and the season over, doesn't it seem a bit pointless to begin this probe?

They could detuct points from Chelsea for next season, but that would set up a precedent and possible legal ramifications?

We had Steele, Pressman (short term cover) and Shearer.

Steele's gone back, Pressman released, Shearer given a free.

Likely punishment based on past experience will be a fine.

The stupidity is the timing - so close to the FA Cup Final.

Gives Wenger a perfect reason to whine.I can almost imagine it,"My players' focus was disrupted and diverted from the game...."

All very well and good, but I didn't see one post about Henry's naff run earlier in the season.

And I don't think you can expect a good run immediately after a long layoff. If he doesn't have a good year next year, then that's when I'd begin to advocate getting rid of him.

Yea but Henry has a naff run fairly often, in fact whenever there are no cannon fodder teams to beat up on. So everyone is used to it and expecting it.

Like the two goals he scored on Chelsea at Highbury in December, then?

yep yep ruud wasn't too hot this season but he had a long layoff and he would have been hard pressed to come back & scoring goals at will, but on past performace he is defiantely a proved striker.

Here what i reckon next season will be a war between Arsenal, Man U & Chelsea for the premiership

Next season will be same top 3 in same order with similar gaps I reckon, unless Glazer gives Taggart (or even better a new man) a lot of cash to spend on good players (although looking at Taggart's record on that in recent years that's not a guarantee)

As for van Nistlerooy - his scoring rate is so good because of the team he plays in and the number of chances he gets.

A total of no goal from out side the penalty area says a lot about why Henry's a better player.

One report I have heard (and that was in early in the takeover bid) is that he will only give £10m a season on players, no Rooney or Ronaldo then. Is/was there any thruth in that? Then again I do have an uncanny knack of finding articles on creditable football websites written by a Man Ure fan?

As for Arsenal, they seem to be linked to almost everybody (ok not everybody but you get my point) to bring in during the off season.
