Henry loses anything to do with heading the ball, performing in the big games, getting in a good position in the box, instinctive finishing in the box.
Yet he still manages to outscore the Horse season on season.

Horse outscores the posing European flop in Europe season on season. Someone getting hat-tricks against the cannon fodder teams will outscore someone who picks up crucial goals against the better sides in the Premiership. Also the CDMs have scored 87 in the Premiership this season, Man Utd 58

So Henry's at fault for playing a team that scores more goals (a lot of which he help creates when he's not scoring them?)

As for van Nistlerooy - his scoring rate is so good because of the team he plays in and the number of chances he gets.

Contradicting yourself there?

Arsenal consistently outscore United,by large margins too, which translates into Henry getting consistently more chances than van Nistelrooy.Yet,he does not outscore him by much.[Dont quote this season]

Actually no it doesn't.

Contrast the way in which the 2 sides play.
Do you mean to say United constantly ping the ball into Ruud and Arsenal don't to Henry?

Says a lot about Nistelrooy's accessability actually.

Only the BBC could have a goal scored from the edge of the 6 yard box on the goal of the season competition. In fact both of the goals from the posing European flop are crap compared to the rest.

Henry gets the ball all over the pitch, Horse gets it in the box.

Ignoring the fact that this competition is based on the monthly winners.

Okay this may seem a silly question to long time followers of footbal but how much is a manager paid per year compared to the players playing the game?

Alex Fergusson is an icon and must be paid a lot. But is it more or less than the players?

Thanks in advance for the inputs.

Still have to go with Edman's 40-yarder against the Scousers. Really different gravy.
Neil Mellor's winner against your mob stands out for mine (please don't hate me), but Edman gets my vote.

On a side note, in CM 03/04 with German side Paderborn, one of my players Michael Lornez scores a goal from 70-odd metres out (an individual effort) yet it doesn't get goal of the month :@ .

The game is so biased of headers or screamers from outside of the box. I mean in one case in one game with Inter, Lucio tackles a player just before the half way line, starts running the ball, and his pace is 19 so most players can't stop him, the keeper comes forward and Lucio is approaching the box, lobs/chips it over the keeper and into the box (this was in the Serie A) yet it didn't get sh*t even though it was Lucio who set up the whole goal for himself, from tackling the player, to out pacing the rest of the opposition to lobbing it over the keeper. I mean Lucio is a centre back, not a striker 8-) :@

I believe most of them nowadays are earning on a par with the top earning players at their club.

Ok football fans, this was taken off a football website (goal.com), but the questions remain the same, and use them to judge your team's own season:

Here is my review of Internazionale's season of 2004-05:

• What kept you going throughout the season? Great (or at least encouraging) results? Hope that things could only get better? Or simply blind loyalty?

Like any fan I hope Inter's fortunes will change for next season. But I remain optimistic and would never ever support Juventus or AC Milan. Not for any sum of cash.

• What were the best moments of the campaign – for example, the best performance / result?

The 5-1 demolitation of Valencia in the UEFA Champions League and the 6 minute miracle against Sampdria in the Serie A when Inter were down 2-0 and were looking for their first loss of the season. And any victory over Juventus.

• And what were the worst?

Definatly the draw's against teams Inter should beat and not winning the league (again).

• Who was your team’s best player of the season?

Adriano would be get my vote if he hadn't dropped away since the start the year, but his contribution has been priceless. Veron and Cambiasso had the most to prove, and they certainly have shown it.

• And the worst?

Edgar Davids.

• How did you rate the performance of your manager/coach?

He got better as the season got on and he learned from his mistakes. Although there is probably too much chopping and changing.

• And the squad? (If you like, give the players marks out of ten, where ten is out of this world and one absolutely awful)

Got better as the season went on.

• What was your side’s goal of the season?

One of Sinisa Mihaljovic's free kicks or Adriano's goal against Udinese early on in the season.

• And what was the biggest howler during the campaign (eg a crazy own goal, shocking miss, bizarre team selection, etc)

Selling Fabio to Juventus on the last day of the transfer window. I don't understand why you would weaken your own defence to help strengthen that of your main rivials and on the last day of transfer window frys me the most. If you are going to sell him, sell him early so you can buy somebody else to replace him. Does anybody understand football on Inter's board?

• Who were the best opponents your team came up against? (Team and individual player)

AC Milan, although we were unlucky to come against Dida who played the games of his life, or goals that Toldo wasn't able to save.

• And the worst?

Hard to say. No opponent is easy. If I had to pick - Anderlecht.

• How did the media generally treat your club?

Same as usual. Players coming and going, one minute the whole side is getting sold to start again, or they are keeping the side and only adding a few faces. Then is of Moratti selling the club, of which he denied. And what about Andy van der Meyde? I don't know if he is coming or going.

• What was the biggest slice of luck that went your way during the season?

The great escape against Sampdoria when trailling 2-0 to win 3-2.

• And what was the most outrageous in justice?

Maybe Cambiasso's disallowed goal against Milan?

• Looking ahead to next season, who would you most like to see arrive at your club?

Potentially a new defender (central), a better left or right sided midfielder, our strike force is good enough and Veron to stay here.

• And which person(s) would you most like to see leave it?

Not a lot, except Materazzi, Fontana, Davids, Gamarra, Recoba, Emre (his attitude makes me sick), Chotus (the most pointless signing for a while?).

• Overall, how did the campaign measure up to your pre-season expectations, and how did it compare with other seasons in which you’ve been following them?

Overall new manager means time to gel with each other (again), and even if they won just 6 of the 17 games we have drawn, Inter would be celebrating the victory of the Serie A. The inconsistentcy early on and the struggle to win made me upset.

• What are you expecting from next season?

Hopefully, with the new players in the positions I have suggested plus Veron live up to their expectations and the they play as a team and win the scudetto.

Credit where it's due, it was a lovely goal. Obviously it depressed the heck outta me at the time, it being last minute & all, but Liverpool probably deserved the win on the balance of play.

IIRC it may've been Mellor's first goal for the 'Pool too. Not a bad 'un to open your account with!

Just out of curiousity Craig, with you being a Serie A fan but an Inter follower I presume you're rooting for The Scousers on Weds?
