AFAIK it's only Gonzalez and Sorondo, and I've read that they're transfers not loans.
Both would cost a bit if they are transfers, not loans, and with Palace hot favourites to go back down, it would be a big move for both of them.

IMO they should already start planning for next year in the CC cup, do what they can with the funds they will get for this season and try and be better preapred financially to have another crack at the EPL in 2 seasons....

Simon: I actually tipped Blackburn and Man U 1-1! So I'm pretty happy with that result, but still disappointed.

I think I managed to tip about 3 games with the right scores, but I'm pretty sure no goalscorers!

Premiership results:

Blackburnn 1 1 Man Utd
Everton 2 1 W.B.A.

And I bet Marc is overjoyed that his beloved Coventry City won 4-1.

What are the chances for MNU winning EPL this season? How do you rate Alan Smith? I think he performs well under pressure. His goal in injury time yesteday against Blackburn was great.

Manure have next to no chance IMO - Smith is a good signing for the price, but the absense of Solksjaer will hurt them as Saha isn't that good a player.

The defence is still ropey, and they lack something on the right of midfield (as they did last year)

I would be shocked if they come above 3rd in all honesty.

i thought liverpool would be good, but they havent impressed me, if united do sign rooney THEY would be disapointed if they dont come top, without him, 3rd is a realistic target...
on smith, im not convinced, his overall goalscoring record doesnt suggest he can keep up 4 goals every 5 games. but if he gets calls as bad as he did yesterday, he could score buckets!

They are definatly not at full strength, so when they all come back together, they will not be taken lightly.

Solksjaer maybe good, but he is nothing special.

Solksjaer is a better bet than Saha, that's for sure - he has a superb scoring rate.

And talk about not being at full strength, a side that has won their first 4 games scoring 16 goals still has 2 of its key players waiting to come back (as well as Edu who is fast becoming a big player for them)

Saha was one of the leading goalscorers last season I believe. Man U have more players out I believe.

The more of Arsenal I see, the more I like, unlike in English football, they do not resort to long balls and keep the ball along the ground (except for crosses, goal kicks, and corners).

I don't watch football for all the goals (unless I'm not paying much attention to it), I look for the skill and technical ability by players and teams.

i guess thats why italy has done so well at recent major championships, because they are technically better?

They did well in EUro 2000 and got totally rorted by the ref in World Cup 2002. Euro 2004 I felt they were a bit unlucky, but their midfield seemed flat with no creative spark to speak of!

One season doesn't compare to the length of time Ole's been doing it.

And Manure aren't missing the best Centre Back in the Premiership and one of the top 2 midfielders in the Premiership if not the world.

A lot of teams don't resort to long balls.

I hardly call Vieira one of the best midfielders in the world, maybe defensive midfielder if that is what you mean. Anyway since when have you backed Arsenal when your a Coventry supporter?

I mean they don't actually play like Arsenal, play the ball along the ground etc. I watched the end of the replay of the game v Norwich (was at work and just got home) and I didn't one pass that went into the air, and in the other times I have seen them play.
