i hope tupou plays as poorly as he did for brisbane last night, quite frankly i cant remember a worse display from an individual player in a game of rugby league before...
im also amazed Marshall and SBW arent starting, imo their best chance is to get out of the blocks quickly, rather than hoping they are in the game when these 2 guys are fresh later on...

They got two guys coming from England, so yes. They will cut it down to 17 once the guys arrive in Oz.

1) I fear tupou will have a shocker. I hope he steps up though.

2) Marshall will have to start from the bench, he is only allowed to play 60 minutes.

BRISBANE Broncos fullback Karmichael Hunt has been flown to Sydney to join the Australia rugby league Test squad as standby for the injured Anthony Minichiello.

Hopeful: Karmichael in the hunt

Hunt was contacted last night and flew out of Brisbane early today, with Minichiello working to overcome a hamstring injury ahead of Friday night's Suncorp Stadium Test with New Zealand.

Minichiello was cleared at the team medical last night and was taking part in a light training run this morning, but it was considered prudent to have Hunt on standby as 18th man if needed.

Hunt's call-up is expected to cause controversy across the Tasman as he is New Zealand born, but the youngster has frequently stated an ambition to play State of Origin football for Queensland, which would rule him out of representing the Kiwis.

It's also likely to cause a stir in North Queensland as Hunt got the nod ahead of Cowboys and Queensland Origin fullback Matt Bowen.

Reports today said Bowen had been pencilled in as 18th man until he had a poor game, dropping several high balls, in the loss to Test coach Ricky Stuart's Sydney Roosters in Townsville on Saturday night.

This rumour was going around yesterday arvo and seems to have been confirmed this morning, well done to Karmichael, hes been in great form for us and can thank matt bowen for having a shocker on saturday night for his place. I hope he gets a game and sticks it to the kiwis...

Turncoat. I hope he gets hammered good and proper and never gets selected again.

The NZ team is dynamic - they make expose some of the older, less mobile Aussie players.

Gotta love the enthusiasm of the coach.

He's put the passion back into the NZ jersey.

Benji wont be playing for the Tigers on Sunday, however there is a chance Hodgo will be back and will play 5/8, if so i would give us a HUGE chance of winning, especially since Halatau will be back as well.. Manly will have Kennedy, Menzies, and Matai backing up from the test whilst we'll only have Fats.. At Leichardt i think we are a very big chance..

so hes fit enough to play a test match, but not to play for Tigers, seems hes not really all that ready yet...
