lol, the NZ herald must have been reading here when I suggested that Lolesi would possibly go to Hull for a season and then go to the Gold Coast team.
Kinda freaky...
That was reported here (Loleisi going to the Coast) over a week ago.

Yeah but I added that I thought Lolesi would go to Hull for a season and then return to the Gold Coast in 2007.

Any half-decent player is more than welcome at Hull! He's not had a particularly fantastic 05 yet tho, but that's probably down to his team's form. He'd still be a welcome addition. :)

Yeah, Berrigan may not be a Bronco for life, but I'd say he will be one for a few more years yet.
I was just think today that Brisbane must have one of the highest ratings of one club players in their currect squad?

Not too sure on that, they have few new players in either their first season or 2nd season. But, the players I can think of who have only been at the Broncos in the top 20 players would be:

Hunt (2 seasons)
Bott (1st season)
Shaun Berrigan (?)
Tate
Lockyer
Seymour
Webke
Petro
Parker
Thorn (played RU, but not another NRL club)
Stagg (2nd season)
Costigan
Carlaw

Most of those players are young, with only Lockyer, Seymour & Petro being at the club for close to 10 years.

Nice to see they performed today, wasn't able to watch it though, original strip used may have been a motivator.

Hopefully this will push them on to make the top 8 this season.

Brisbane got a reality check at the same time.

Sorry couldn't let this go
Yeah, fair enough. Although the game was pretty even, some dud calls from Mander towards the end of the game was the difference. That Thorn tackle was a beauty, and in no way dangerous. And Petro had the ball stripped, he didn't lose it. While the Warriors showed enough to win, I wouldn't say that it was a convincing win.

As I said in my previous post, the Broncos weren't outplayed, a few things didn't go their way. They are all set for the run home.

Yeah the Broncos are fine. Wayne Bennett said they were beaten fair and square as did Brad Thorn but there is nothing for them to worry about. A loss probably will do them good

They still managed to do what 10 previous teams couldn't do mind you. They should be fairly happy and even more happy that they won a game that could have swung either way.

Yesterday's Sunday Mail said that Shaun Berrigan will test himself on the open market. It said that he is currently on $250000 at the Broncos, but because he is a test and origin centre he could attract up to $400000. However, it is said he will stay at the Broncos to play with his brother, who said there is no need for the Broncos to find another hooker because he thinks he will play for another 5 years. Mick Ryan is supposedly going to the Coast in 2007.

yeh it seemed every single 50/50 call went against us. in such a close competition if you get the raw end of the stick in a match so many times you wont win. warriors deserve to win but i think its a match we could have won like we did against Sharks or canberra where we didnt play great but did enough with what we had...

well thats not great news. Shaun is essential, we HAVE to sign him. i thought Michael Ryan looked the goods in a queensland cup game i saw a few weeks ago. Different type of hooker to Barry, so in a way its disapointing we could lose Ryan because of it.

Although Berrigan is testing the open market the paper seemed pretty convinced that he would stay with the side. Or maybe they were just saying that so Broncos' fans didn't spew up their breakfast
