Thurston wins Dally M!!! how awesome was that count, Johns polled votes in every game after origin, 6 or 7 of which he didnt deserve, most noteably 3 against St George on Sunday!
But sanity prevailed and someone who deserved it took it home...
apart from that most of the awards were a farce, Minchiello robbed of Rep player of the year by Johns, Watmough should have won back rower not Hindmarsh, Anasta somehow won 5/8 of the year and Webcke inexplicabily over looked for Front rower of the year!
At least didnt win the main award so ill sleep easier tonight...

Johns robbed?!?! lol he got so many points he didnt deserve its just ridiculous. I was gunning for anyone but Johns simply because he had no right to poll the votes he did. Thurston had a great year and definately deserved it, he played great on the weekend and deserved three points, he guided cowboys to an important win while Johns had a reasonable game in a beaten side and got three, do me a favour...

Well done to Thurston, was a big risk for him moving away from the Dogs, but he has been great for the Cowboys throughout the season.

Very happy for the Tigers, Princey wins Captain of the Year, Hodgo FINALLY gets some recognition with Fullback of the Year and Sheensy was never in doubt for coach of the year...
On some of the other results, ANASTA 5/8 of the year... WHAT A JOKE!!, the guy gets boo'ed by his own fans...
As for the Dally M, well Johns was always going to poll well because Newcastle are a 1 man team, however congrats to Thurston, even though i would've preferred Princey seeing someone new win it is good....
