After the rain we have had yeasterday, the Gold Coast isn't excatly paradise (we got over 500mm of rain and our car got flooded out but that is another topic).

One Brit I would like to see is Leeds 5/8 Danny Ma(c)quire, he looked like he has potential when I saw him play in the Tri-Nations, haven't been able to follow the ESL as much as I would like to this season because of work etc.

McGuire (think that's how he spells it!) is quality; he's quick, has an eye for space & decent kicking game too, but is a tad lightweight as 5/8ths go. It would be interesting to see how he went, but I think he's just signed up with the Rhinos again.

I think Senior would go well in the NRL, but he's gotta be pushing 30 now so maybe it's too late. One Rhino who might head down under is Mark Calderwood, don't think he's ever played for GB yet, but was the leading try scorer a couple of seasons ago and is outta contract & not minded to sign another.

Isn't there another Calderwood running around, I'm sure I have heard that name before and it is not Mark Calderwood?

Newcastle have signed Davico and resigned Thaiday. Thaiday has been doing particularly well for himself (and my fantasy NRL team) the last few weeks :)

Yeah, he's a quality player. He'd be unbeatable if he could tackle...

Who's Chris Walker?
a reall bad player. Hes got speed, but he always drops the ball and cant tackle. Hes got a big mouth but is totally pathetic...
so in other words hes gonna fit right in at Wests...

i was making this note last night in an msn convo, i find it funny there is 3 queensland halfbacks and 1 kiwi halfback in the top 10 on the dally M rankings, yet no new south welshmen lol!!!

None of the Walkers can tackle. Lots of tries scored in their backyard games

I don't take much notice of the dally M rankings because I think they are a joke but i can see what you are saying.

how r they a joke? they are allocated to players based on their performances, players with the most points have been consistent...
its no coincidence that Thurston, Prince and Seymour are in the top 8 but Kimmorley, Orford and Gower are not...

Great show from the Broncos today - Seymour stepped up in the absense of Lockyer and McGuire was also impressive at pivot.

That is the last time I tip the Warriors - they are dreadful. They will struggle to make the top 8.

It was also an impressive performance from the Raiders another good-one from Shifcofske. And Wesser showed why he is the worst fullback in the competition, just below Bowen.

How long do people think that Manly will last in the 8? I think now that the Roosters are on a roll & The Dragons are one of the best in the comp and Bulldogs and Raiders still a chance it will be very tough for the Sea Eagles. Personally I can't see them making the 8 and if they do, they won't be in the 2nd week of the finals series. Sharks will struggle too.

yeh Sharks and Manly need to lift soon for sure... If Jason Smith stays fit ill expect Canberra will be in the finals, on a postive note Brisbane will be on 30 points after next weeks bye :D
