any objections? (to questions in examination in chief or cross examination)
That will be allowed, in moderation though. We don't want any incessant appealing (cricket analogy). :)

if one party is unhappy with the result can they attempt to appeal the decision on different grounds?
Nope as far as i know, i dont think that would be possible here.. as this would be the final decision.. the trial was made, for a proper end to this either way..

Although wait till liam confirms...

The jury will be decided upon by the prosecution and defence. Thus far Richard Twyman has been secured by CWBCC. The other 2 are still up for debate. We're willing to take suggestions from both parties.
As liam said..

The defence team and prosection team will each consist of 3 persons.
Erm, I think not.

We have a team assembled, and all will be having their say.

thats what we agreed on marc.. well decide on a final number either 3/4 and that way the defendants can set it on that too..
We cant have 100 people on the prosecution team if thats what you'r thinking..

You can't obstruct people from prosecuting.

At no point was anything agreed.

There will be no limit to the prosecution team - everyone who wants a turn will get it.

The prosecution will use as many people as we see fit.

So far this numbers into double figures who have expressed an interest.

If this is a fair trial then all parts will be fair.

It depends upon the nature of the trial itself. For instance, if Nikhil were to lose, an appeal would be unacceptable.
But if he wins, you'll let them appeal??

Somehow, that doesn't seem right at all.

You can't have different sets of rules for the prosecution and the defence, because someones going to have an advantage over the other. Then it isn't a trial, just an attack on the defendant.

Only 3 persons on each team, those questioned and the moderators (CWBCC and Andre perhaps) will be allowed to post in the Trial thread, so decide on who those 3 will be for the prosecution and state them. If they aren't stated, you'll be the only one allowed to post there.

I never said that. I said "It depends upon the nature of the trial itself." What I mean by that is if there is some interferance or another like situation. No appeals are allowed simply because one team lost.

Surely there is period following the trail when an appeal may be launched, but the party that is appealing must show evidence to the Judge that there is 'reasonable grounds' for an appeal and the Judge decides whether the appeal will be heard.

Which would come about an outstanding situation, as stated above.

I really would like to know what the actual issue being tried is.

Is it his guilt? Or the length of the ban?

Our prosection team currently numbers 12 (including myself) and all 12 of us have an input to the prosecution, so all 12 of us will be posting.

We have assembled a team that would be unfairly restricted by being any less than 12, and seeing as you want a fair trial, you must allow all 12 to prosecute.

On another note, I wonder why you say we should follow the ICC in some ways (such as this tour by Zimbabwe) yet don't follow the ICC in others (such as this, where precedent is a life ban) - seeing as you yourself have already told us he's guilty.
