I was thinking while at the gym. Is it because Woodfull won back the Ashes twice in England and both times on his birthday?

The inscription at the mighty Gee states -

He was the most succesful Australian Captain in England (having won two back to back Ashes in England despite losing the bodyline series in Australia.)

I believe Jo Darling also won 2 ashes series back to back in England !!

But Pre 1980's winning back to back Ashes in England was an extra-ordinary achievement for any Aussie Captain. Obviously Border, Taylor, Waugh and Co. have changed this scenario considerably !! :) :)

Okay you all know my name now, and when I played Test Cricket, and I can understand you would have trouble with Laxman's whole name, but Smith; you could have done better than that! Who am I?
