Used to laugh at people for their cricketing rules ignorance. Then I was told about the pulling-the-stump-out-of-the-ground rule for a run out in 2008.

Only learnt that "hitting the ball twice deliberately" was a separate way to get out this year myself.

It's like that old "how many squares can you find in this grid?" problem. Those used to **** me to tears.

I dislike the guy already. It might be because he shares his second name with that singer on the last season of the X Factor.

That's basically it. An angry South African left armer who can bowl 140+ is all you ever hear about him really.
Is he even really 140+. I remember seeing him bowl in the Champions League a couple of years ago and about the quickest he clocked was 136. The CL is right at the start of the season, and he might've put on an extra yard of pace anyway, but I find it hard to believe, just watching him, that he's any quicker than high 130's on average.

It's a real shame that his last match wasn't given this much attention as he threw the mother of all hissyfits while getting hit around at close to 15 runs an over for a good period of time.

He's a decent bowler and a nice prospect and while it's an awesome achievement he's not as flash as he's made out to be by certain people in the media.
Pray tell why that's a shame? You think one hissy fit should get worldwide headlines to match 5 wickets in 6 balls? Gee.

He's taken 51 wickets at 18 this season (15 more than anyone else). From the footage I saw of those 5 in 6, there was some ridiculously good reverse swing at pace - both ways. I'm not saying he's going to be a world beater but that's a guy I want in my side.

Nah, no way is he 140+. Trent Boult has him for speed from what I've seen and he'd only be high 130's on average himself. Luke Woodcock yesterday described him as having similar pace to Andy McKay and you wouldn't exactly say McKay's a 140+ bowler.

Dude, he doesn't play for Northern Districts!
