Neil Wagner 5 wickets in 6 balls

Doesn't suggest incredible pace, but there was some definite significant swing there.

Only thing is I'm worried about is that even Mason swings the ball both ways at domestic level. We all know how well he's done in the step up...

Mason is a good bowler who was robbed. Got one test when crap like Ian Butler got picked ahead of him.

Because of the way he bowls, Mason will always be a risk of getting some tap in ODIs imo.

*** the other day wangner took 5 wickets in one over, the covage was caught on a mobile phone camera so quailty was terrible. I have written many times to NZ TV asking them to have a show dedicated to nz domestic cricket. They all run down there to interview the guy, if only one channel had dedicated time to this comp. the crowds would have been there instead of 3 people...

but they just continue to fight over rugby... while domestic cricket dies a slow death.
Can't understand either. After all, outside broadcasts are as cheap as chips....

This isn't a fantasy world we live in...the cost involved in providing coverage of domestic cricket would be a massive outlay for bugger all. No one turns up to watch it, why would they punt on televising it? And how does it work that crowds would be there if it was on TV?

The Australian four-day comp isn't televised (final might be, but nothing else) nor is county cricket in UK apart from the odd game I think. No chance ours will be.

Domestic cricket dies a death because people simply have better things to do with their time than they did 10-20 years ago.

This is only a loosely connected comment - but 30 years ago when I was 8 years old I went along to a packed seddon park to watch ND vs a touring England team. And then later in the year to see Auckland vs ND in a one dayer also packed.

I dreamed of wearing a maroon cap. Held the players in high esteem.

Those were the days. Mind you interest in cricket was very high then overall.

Australian domestic games have (almost) always got a tape running over them with just one camera behind the bowler from one end. Can remember seeing some feeds from the S.C.G being multi camera. It was only for news stations though.
