That's a lesser blemish on the copybook, than being (in the case of Top Cat) in the State where the Democrats easily garner their greatest support.
Oooh, don't hurt 'em, Hammer. 8-)

BTW, I still don't have your bank details (acct name, number, BSB etc)...

Haha, I felt much better today after reading an article in the paper which pretty much mirrored my sentiments on the Martyn issue. :D

Perfect thing done, Martyn: we had enough. He hasnt got fighting capability, neither is he as talented, struggling immensly, looked very ordinary, never seemed setteled etc. so whats his use in the team?

But it makes complete sense. 8-)
If you genuinely believe Martyn has no talent, or fighting capibility, you have obviously never watched him in form (or even out of form) before.

Get a grip, you cant just say flippant things about high class players and expect everyone to agree.

No i dont expect everyone to agree, but did u see his batting through out the ashes? with soo much experience he should have done something. He continouly failed when the real test begun.

And by the way, with no ***ual discrimination but are u a girl?

With a name like Linda, you'd hope so, wouldnt you? :p

Yes, I did see his Ashes series. He had a shocker, thats pretty obvious, he also recieved some bad calls and made a couple of stupid decisions. That makes him.... oh, human.

Human? yes probably. Maybe umpires got fed-up with the way he was playing and realised that he was struggling and gave him out? But i definetly saw him absolutely struggling with the bat like never before, maybe exclusion will give him a lesson.

I beg to differ. VB series 03/04.... probably the worst form of his life.

Well i dont even remember such a long period. What i know now is they should try new batsman out now, Martyn isnt dropped without any reason is he? He is 34 anyway, so i cant see him coming back to the side. I would replace him with symonds.

arent the aussie selectors known for axing players after good series? katich and martin love were both dropped after scoring centuries in their previous game.
Love doesn't fit in that critieria though? I mean he was picked as fill-in for Lehmann who was injured, then when Martyn got injured and Love got another gig, so when Martyn got fit he got, Love was out.

Although it was farcial he was not picked when Ponting pulled out of Australia's Test against Sri Lanka in Darwin last year, instead of the flop called Matt Elliott. I mean it is a like for like selection, Love bats at three, so does Ponting, could take his slip fielding position (and is a fine one indeed), instead of Elliott who is really an opener.

And Love was back home in Brisbane, which is a lot closer and cheaper to fly Love in at the last minute then was for Elliott (and Love would get there quicker as well).

By what standard is a bit of support for the democrats worse than that thing you had as Premier for a couple of decades? Or giving Pauline Hanson a political voice?
OK, politics was a bad example, let's just stick to the wonderful weather up here :p

It's OK. Nobody should profit from the sad demise a great batsman.

I'll quote Bill Hicks for this one, talking about Los Angeles...

"I love to get out of LA for any reason, to go anywhere... for the weather. They don't even HAVE weather there... hot and sunny every day, every day hot and sunny... and they love it. "Every day it's hot and sunny... ain't that neat?" and I say: "what are you, a ****ing lizard? Only reptiles feel that way about this kind of weather. I can afford scarves, coats, cappuccinos and rosy-cheeked women and all are available for sale on the streets of New York."

Replace LA with Brisbane and New York with Melbourne, and there you have it. ;)

Best lifestyle, best weather, best economy, best sporting teams, best beaches, best women

As for politics, we may have a media tart but:

NSW - had that economic genius Bob Carr for many years and now the state is stuffed

Vic - Steve Bracks 'nuff said

SA - who cares? We can afford to buy their best wines and not have to visit.
Agreed except we have the worst health system :@

So you obviously haven't visited Queensland yet?

When I got back from my Melbourne adventure two years ago, the moment I stepped off the plane I noticed the change and to be honest it was a lot better up here in winter then down there (that said Melbourne is one of my favourite places). And another thing I didn't find Melbourne weather as bad as what is made out to be: people walking around all rugged up as if they are in St Petersburg, yet I found it fine wearing only long pants and a t-shirt, and these people have been there longer then I had been.

Back on topic though, with Gillespie left out does this spell the end of his international career?

(Thought I would bring discussion to another one of the players axed)

Faaip do you live in Melbourne? :-O If so, I wonder why I never knew that. I just thought you lived in SA since you were a Crow fan.
