nope, i've had a big smile on my face all weekend
How do people hate a club yet they are in two completely different divisions and you lead yourself open up to 'were in Premier League, now in League One' sort of comebacks and your club's money woes?

I'm not saying you like them, but it isn't much of a rivalary?

Those comebacks, much like "I know you are, so what am I" have no effect on anyone with a mental age above nine. They're generally followed by something along the lines of illustrating that we're actually genuinely involved in our clubs rather than having six full sticker albums and a matching Cristiano Ronaldo lampshade and duvet set.

It's not rivalry, it's passionate dislike on the grounds that United were the first side to start rabidly over-commercialising the game - oh, and being horrifically bad losers, and having their fan base in Surrey (etc).

Don't you think i've had all those supposed 'come backs' already, living in Manchester as i do?

I suppose my hatred of Manure comes from growing up in an area where most of the people who played football and/or were into football were Oldham supporters, but where there were a large number of people who weren't really football fans but 'supported' United. In my formative years there was rivalry (1990 Fa cup semi & replay, 94 fa cup semi and replay, 3 seasons in the prem- the 5-2 and 6-3 and brilliant 1-0 home win). Then i went to senior school in Manchester and it was even worse, the Mondays coming in with all the Man Utd fans gloating but you could always go 'Oh so you went to the match then?'

Oh and there's the blummin traffic jams on the M6 for all the home games :p

Fair enough.

And there looks like going to be another pointless gesture - boycotting the FA Cup Final by MUre fans, which is great except he has brought the club.

I am going to laugh if they win the league next season under Glazer's ownership and I am willing to wager there will be one of the greatest backflips ever (outside politics).

So what is going to be the new club they claim to go and form? Bitterandtwisted FC?
