Paul Honis ruined a good game of rugby tonight.
Too true. I can't remember many details because I was drinking at the time, but the first 20 minutes were horrible thanks to his refereeing. He doesn't seem to be able to grasp when a ruck is formed, and he gave someone approximately 0.03 of a second to release a ball before pinging him for holding on,.

He is a joke. The amount of srums he blowed up must be close to a world record. The game just doesn't flow when he refs

1-1 so far in my head to head clash with Biased Indian .Hope the rest of the results go my way. ie Bulls, Sharks, Reds !! Then I may be able to pip the Biased fellow at the post !!
That will be a mini Victory for me !! :D

I will have to Thank James (for putting his predictions early and directing BI that way :D ) if I do manage to pip the Biased Indian !! :D

I just noticed however that BI has failed to put Bulls over Stormers as James has done. Only time will tell if he has in fact predicted correct on this one !!

Absolutely, two generally attacking teams were too often called back Honiss, really ruined the match. Considering both were resting key players, the match really was dull at times to say the least. Tapa Henning, who refereed the second match on Friday showed what Honiss was missing, as the game flowed, with both the Waratahs and Blues being able to carry the ball for longer periods.

Well I think you've each scored two points after the round, so you're still just behind going into the semis. Interesting matches last night, the Brumbies beating the Reds and scoring a bonus point meant they still had a chance to qualify as the Highlanders had lost earlier. Huge win for the Bulls though, 61 points over the Stormers, and then a draw between the two struggling franchises.

Im going to presume that Canterbury will play NSW in the final at Christchurch in 2 weeks time...i would be very surprised if Wellington or the Bulls got in there.

But if the Waratahs play like they did against the average Blues on friday then they will be thrashed in Christchurch.
I honestly don't know how the Waratahs do any good...when you look at their side, it's pretty average. They've got a decent forward pack, but i'd only call Matt Rogers & perhaps Tuqiri their star back-line players. Whittaker is a bit of a journey-man and usually plays consistently.
I think in the heat of the final, Peter Hewat will crack under pressure..I think he's that type of player that if he makes a mistake..he'll go on & make a few more before the game is out.

I think the reaction of the Waratahs after the match summed up that they're feeling nervous. A champion side will go anywhere and win, but there's no doubt the tahs were gutted that they no longer had a home final if they got there.
I think Whittaker said after the match, that the team felt more like they had drawn the match.

The Crusaders will beat the Hurricanes and the Waratahs should beat the Bulls.

It will be interesting to see how well the Bulls play away from home. There is really no logical reason as to why they cannot dominate the Waratahs forward pack and therefore the match but historically they never travel well (like all SA teams) and so I am tipping the Waratahs.

It would be interesting if both the Crusaders and Waratahs lost. The final would be played in SA at the bulls home ground. That would be amazing considering where they were on the table early on in the comp. I think it would be good iff the final was played in SA.. something different at least
