Jasprit Bumrah

Cummins has been doing it longer but Bumrah's peak is probably better than Cummins'

For me, Bumrah is the best all format bowler of this generation while Cummins has the edge in test cricket purely due to longevity.
Bumrahs peak is pretty much his career and he has just been more consistently quality than Cummins.

Cummins may end up ahead if Bumrah breaks down though. Cummins is more durable.

So interesting question for the all rounder crowd.

Do they also say that factoring in captaincy and batting that Cummins is better than Bumrah?
Yeah I wouldn't bother taking his batting into consideration.

I'd give him a few extra points for being a first change bowler and relinquishing new ball duties. I'm sure he'd have a slightly better bowling record if he always took the new ball.

Funniest post ive read this week. On reddit, someone said: If i was a selector i would pick two specialist bowlers to bowl 40 overs + together- Jasprit bumrah- and a new fast bowler called Basprit Jumrah

He probably would but he does sometimes struggle with the new ball slightly (Cummins, that is). Can bowl unnaturally full for him and present easy drive balls searching for the magic ball/swing rather than settling into hammer a length as is his usual MO.

This is a comment I saw on YT... like where do these people come from

Nah starc is still a " greater" bowler then bumrah It wil take 3-4 years for bumrah to surpass his legacy Also the comparision doesnt really make sense, starcs peak was in 2015,bumrah hadn't even made his debut back then Starc was the greatest bowler in 2010s Bumrah is the best best bowler from 2020-24

I've seen people earnestly express the opinion that Tim May was better than Lyon is, when he just wasn't. You can only reason so much.
