Jasprit Bumrah

h_hurricane

International Vice-Captain
There's a whole plethora of outstanding series by visiting bowlers to Australia here, by visiting pace bowlers here, by visiting spinners here, and by visiting mixture/unknown bowlers here. For those of you getting sick of cricket, there's a photo of the Yeti here, of the Loch Ness Monster here, and of a flying saucer here.
Bumrah's current series is coming twice there. One as part of WTC and one as part of B-G. I would happily take both though.

Can he get 40? 9 more to go. Come on, Jasprit, get your maiden 10-fer.
Even if Bumrah fails to get his maiden 10fer, if he manages to pick up his sixth 9fer, he will end up with 39 wickets for the series and will surpass Maurice Tate's record of 38 wickets which has stood for nearly 100 years! (Tate's 38th victim was Clarrie Grimmett in the series' fifth Test which started on 27 February 1925).

(I had to look up all this stuff BTW, I didn't know it beforehand!)

Somebody mentioned that Labuschagne had a 40 average against Bumrah after the MCG game (listed in a cricinfo article). It’s dropped to just under 29 after this inning’s dismissal. Shows you how much these head to head stats really don’t mean much with such small sample sizes.

Dont see bumrah bowling again in 2nd inn. his Test career is in doubt after another back injury. Hes 31 years old and it gets tougher to recover as you get old. hes one injury away from being career ending- see the likes of Bond, James Pattinson, Jofra Archer, Josh Hazlewood etc.. All examples were basically career ending. All four had stress fractures in the back. All were great bowlers yes, but limited longevity for all...
