No, I mean really.

Lyon averages 31 while other spinners do 61.

Warne averaged 26 while other spinners did 41.

Statistically, Lyon is actually better here.
Treating this as a linear thing is wrong. Warne excelling when others struggled is more impressive than Lyon merely being ok in a sea of ass.

Comeon now, I am not treating it as linear. And be honest, Warne excelling when others struggled is definitely very impressive but Lyon doing good when others were incredibly horrendous is more impressive. FTR, I think Warne was better at home, but statistically speaking, Lyon is better here.

Whatever it takes!!!
Warne's bowling was always far more suited to Aus than it ever was to the SC. SL lollapsed in ridiculously funny ways which is why he has the record he does over there. In general, bowlers always ensure they give themselves the best chance of succeeding in their home conditions, even if its spinners in SENA and fast bowlers in the SC. Its silly to think otherwise and build any great narrative around something that is just basic common cricketing sense.

True.

Not saying he is better bowler but Bumrah has a equally good if not better record with less support and in an era where no other fast bowlers stood out
Less support? What? Ignoring this series he's constantly had Ash, Jadeja, Siraj, Shami, Yadav etc. It wasnt too long ago Indians here and in their media were boasting about Indias pace depth and strength. Now he doesn't have any support...sure.

Still "less" support don't you think?

Compared to Marshall that's definitely less support. Overall, the support hasn't been half bad for most of his games though.
