Andy Robert’s was more like a Father Figure to West Indies Bowlers who eventually dominated the 80s. Jasprit Bumrah is still young and have to see the legacy he leaves behind the Indian Team. Purely by Effectiveness it’s Bumrah.

Although Roberts has the worse record against NZ. Tempted to switch my vote to him.

Roberts was deffo the more intimidating bowler - quicker too. Bumrah is a wonderful bowler and India's first great fast bowler. He will have a better career by the end of it all. That said, Andy has a deep legacy and that means something.

Although Andy Roberts has a higher legacy as of now, don't think that'll be the case when Bumrah's done. Will end up with much higher no. of wickets with a better WPI and average; being an Indian helps his cause as well.

I doubt if there are or will be any cricketers who "will leave a legacy behind for future cricketers". The sport has already moved away from it's traditional roots.

Besides, Bumrah doesn't need to leave a legacy behind as such. Sachin has already done that and no other Indian cricketer will ever have the same influence as he did.

Bumrah however will be remembered as nature's unique creation like Lara. You cannot create another Bumrah through formal training, its impossible.

I don’t know if it is serious but yeah he had few flaws.

1. Avg of 27.3 and SR of 71 against the best opponent of his era, South Africa.

2. Avg 31 in 5 Tests in Pak and 29.2 in 4 Tests in SL

3. Just one 5-Fer in 17 Tests in India, Pak and SL.
