I think this series is the right time for Anderson to sign off.

It certainly won't get any easier with a 5 test tour of India as the next assignment and he'd be pushing 42 by the time the West Indies and Sri Lanka tour next Summer, that's probably the perfect opportunity to find the next English pace attack.

Top seam bowler wickets taken of all time and totally begrudged because he plays for England

Simple as that

I’m a fan of England and Anderson is the top seamer wicket taker of all time

I don’t care if that’s ridiculed but it’s a simple fact

its not recognised because he is English

my last comment on this one and if it annoys or upsets so be it. The fact is he has more wickets than any other seamer in history

so get over it, it’s reality

Not average though, or strike rate, or best bowling innings, Jimmy has a worse home record, worse away record, but yeah, other than those facets......
Wickets taken all time great. You just won’t accept it

it’s as simple as that . All the rest is irrelevant and whataboutery

don’t like it then that’s just life

So according to Carty logic all of these batsmen are greater than Bradman simply because they have more runs
When you put it like that it's clearly absurd!

The following are actually better than Bradman, however:
Cook (12,472 runs)
Root (11,196 runs)
Gooch (8,900 runs)
Stewart (8,463 runs)
Gower (8,231 runs)
Pietersen (8,181 runs)
Boycott (8,114 runs)
Atherton (7,728 runs)
Bell (7,727 runs)
Cowdrey (7,624 runs)
Hammond (7,249 runs)
Strauss (7,037 runs)

Sorry, I couldn't fit the 60 odd batsmen clearly better than Bradman under Carty logic in a screenshot so just did the dozen from Austraia 😀

peak cloud merchant who was lucky that England played him long enough for him to become average enough to eke out a protected and inflated career. only got to where he is because they play a **** load of tests and they protect him in matches and because he only plays one format for so long

he is England’s Ishant nothing more

summoning @Shri because every Anderson thread deserves him
