not to mention the amount of australians with dutch passports who are not playing for Holland :(
Nannes and Bollinger are both dutch...how awesome would Hollands bowling be!

not to forget the guy in Jack's under 19 team mate for Australia who also holds a dutch passport...

edit: Tom Cooper
All three though would have some ambitions to play for Australia down the track though.

Oh well with a european passport tom cooper will be fast tracked in county cricket, altho so does moises henriques hold a eurpoean passport.
Bollinger will never give away his hopes, nanne well who knows he is 31 or 32.
That said michael mason the WA based pacemen in worcester knocked back the chance to represent ireland so he could one day play for australia  .
At 34 now i wouldn't be so hopeful,he is english qualified anyway now.

TBF to Mason at the time WA had a pretty dire pace attack, so he must of thought he was a good shot at playing for WA. I doubt too many state sides will selected a grade cricket (which he basically all is in Australia) who plays for another country even Ireland. Not choosing to play for another country especially one where you would have to re-qualify for Australia. Has as much to do with state selections as it does with national selection.

Is Ragheb Aga much chance of ever returning to the Kenyan squad. Look like he is close to making the grade in England and most be close to finishing his studies. Or has he given up on playing for Kenya and just wants to focus playing for Sussex, as I think he will have to play as an overseas players even with British passport if he played for Kenya again.

Well to the best of my knowledge Cricket Kenya, because generally does not pick cricketers who are based abroad and cannot get back to residential camp in Kenya within a certain number of weeks before competitive matches hence the reason Hitesh Modi and Kennedy Obuya missed out on the 2007 World Cup. In Ragheb's case I certainly hope he gets selected for the Matches against Scotand and Ireland in the UK, cos he's probably our best chance for a consistent seam-up bowling all rounder what with Nemi Odhiambo spraying the ball all over the place, and Rajesh Bhudia's pace being undone by quality batsmen at the T20 World Championships. From what little I can gather from cricinfo he has both pace and gets lots of movement on the ball.

I think there are other issues then just the fact that Obuya and Modi didn't turn up to camps. Kennedy Obuya was pissed when he was told by the selectors he wasn't first choice players and even if he came back he wouldn't be certain pick. Modi apparently has some issues with the Cricket Kenya and the way there treated the players while he was captain.

Even if there was that rule in place, surely there would be exceptations for guys playing FC cricket. Like the other two, there is probably more to the Ragheb Aga story then just being tied with Uni and trying to cement a FC career in England. Surely you would make yourself available for InterCont matches and ODIs.

Oh yeah Hitesh Modi and Rageb Aga were both used as stand in captains of the team that representad Kenya at the height of the players strike when the cricket community was split down the middle and I suppose that might have something thereand that team basically was pretty much between a rock and a hard place.

World Cricket League

Hi friends, I have a serious topic to discuss -
Dont U think the structure of World Cricket League is too long? As I was looking at it some teams which won in 2006 are playing tn global league in 2008, is'nt that strange? How do u expect a team to be in the same form?

I feel instead of 4 years it should be reduced to 3 Years. Structure for example after 2007 Wc to 2011 Wc:
2007: World Cup Ends
2008: All Regional Tournaments (Asia, Americas, Africa, Europe & EAP) Start - End.
2009: All Global Tournaments Start - End.
2010 Jan: 2011 World Cup Qualifiers.
2011: World Cup

A bit old but Bermuda's national cricket ground has been cleared to host IntercontinentalCup matches which means that Scotland may have to switch dates again for their American tour.

Well done rock. :) Hopefully Bermuda won't be last.

Netherlands v Ireland tomorrow. Kervezee is injured, and will miss this match as well as the Euros, so Netherlands are without their three best batsmen.

Squads

Ireland: *Kyle McCallan; Andre Botha; Peter Connell; Alex Cusack; Thinus Fourie; James Hall; Gary Kidd; Kevin O'Brien; Andrew Poynter; Paul Stirling; Reinhardt Strydom; Greg Thompson; +Gary Wilson

Netherlands: +*Jeroen Smits; Rifaiz Bakas; Peter Borren; Mudassar Bukhari; Daan van Bunge; Tom de Grooth; Maurits Jonkman; Geert-Maarten Mol; Edgar Schiferli; Pieter Seelaar; Nick Statham; Lesley Stokkers

Unpolished sides tstl.

Something really should be done about making sure associates have their best players for intercontinental cup. After all they are as imporetant to us as test mathes are to test teams.

Ireland 226/4 at close of play in Rotterdam. Just 58 overs possible, Bukhari took three wickets. Disappointing to see Schiferli go wicketless and Jonkman bowl just five overs.

Netherlands are 49/6 in response to Ireland's 400/6. Paul Connell has 4/18, Botha hit 172, fifties for Kevin O'Brien and Andrew Poynter (unbeaten).

This is the same Connell who went 16-0-132-0 in the Scotland triangular...

OMG that is enormous...

For some reason Cricinfo does not feel it is worth keeping live scorecards of Intercontinental cup mathces anymore.

The Dutch 83/7 now...
