Intercontinental Cup, 2007

If the weather right now in the UK persists through the summer then I can foresee a situation where Scotland miss out on points entirely because of the rain. Anyway the I am sure Namibia are more than a one horse team and someone else could well play a blinder.
If I remember correctly Scotland have only one home match left, the Kenyan fixture. And I'm sure in my thinking that Snyman is Namibia's only real asset at the moment, maybe by the time the next world cup comes around they'll be more than a one or one and a half horse team.

Namibia to be too much for The Netherlands in Windhoek, but the visitors to force a draw aided by the weather.

Netherlands to be too strong for the UAE.

Namibia to take first innings points against Scotland, but again draw the match.

Great start by the Namibians! The Netherlands are really going to be up against it unless they get early wickets tomorrow.

If the first day was dominated by the bat the second has been a gruesome wicket-fest.

Namibia plunge from 322/5 to 337 all out but the Dutch never get going and are shot out for 107 according to the latest update from cricketeurope

And namibia complete a maximum points win to take them top of the table:wacko:
Kola Burger (the most aptly named of the Burgers imo) nine wickets.

They seem to have one bowler standing up in each match. Van Zyl did well against Ireland, Klazinga's had a couple of good games too IIRC.

I reckon Namibia's win will now make it very hard for the Dutch to qualify for the final.
Scotland are still theoretically a chance if they can beat both Namibia and Kenya, though it is looking increasingly like a 3 horse battle between Namibia, Ireland and Kenya.
Interestingly Ireland are up against Namibia in the penultimate group game and Kenya in the final group game. It could well come down to who wins those as to who plays in the final.

I wonder what odds one could have got at the start of the tournament on Namibia winning all 7 of their matches...

Namibia now 38/5 in response to Scotland's 140.

Wonder whether Snyman is out yet.

UAE lead by 2 runs against Nederland. Spinners took care of the top five and then Schiferli ended with five for 48.

Scotland 140 all out
Namibia 115 All out

Interesting result there all in one day, looks like Scotland have the team to take on Namibia.

Third day: HUUGE stand between Zuiderent and ten Doeschate. 230 runs. Rest of the order had no clue though, Zuiderent remains not out on 149 and could carry his bat if Netherlands choose to bat tomorrow (which I doubt, though they could go to his 150)

In Namibia, Scotland have taken three wickets defending 237.
