Lawie. Doesnt really roll off the tongue like "Marto" or "Snorkel" ;) Nicknames is a very serious business these days...

As for the game on Sunday, why are they starting so early? Is there a reason or do they just feel like it?

Further more, dont they realise Ill have to get up at 7 on a Sunday??!:O :P (still, I guess its a public holiday the day after..:cool2: )

The match starts Qld 9am because channel 9 don't want the match running too late in precious N.S.W. & Victoria as not to upset their scheduling.

With the final being played today, I think it would be appropriate for everyone to place their tips for who will win today...

For mine: Queensland:)

Kade Harvey: Take a bow! That was match of your life stuff!

WA looked so gone.. Even in the last 3 overs they looked gone. Watesy hits the biggest six he's ever hit and that just brought it in.

Simply superb fightback. Harvey, you 'da man.

And I'd like to add:

Hey Queenslanders, how did you like that? Huh? How was that? What happened to that smile on your face in the 48th over? Yeah, exactly. Damn straight. Suck on them apples for a season.

And just in case any of you thought Kade Harvey just had a good match, here's something for you:
A little while ago, he was averaging 93.75 with the bat and 3.9 with the ball for his club.

Well, what can i say, im speechless. Great efort from the WA boys and in paticular Kade Harvey. fantastic effort indeed.

I taped the game, and only just got home to see Wates hitting the winning runs. Im stoked. Great effort to come out of the recent slump we had been in to win this.

Im over the moon, fantastic!

EDIT: scarbs, great club, alot of great players come from scarbs :)

What an effort, amazing. Poor Queenslanders, had the game in the palm of your hand twice.

An amazing match - the only thing missing was the day/night atmosphere. Queensland paid for not converting their starts, they both got out to silly shots and should have gone on to get 100s and bat W.A. out the game because they were bowling poorly.

And in the second innings Queensland should have kept North in, he would have made sure W.A. still had 50 odd runs to get in the last over, he was batting shocking.

The misses by Noffke & Brant and the injury to Hopes were crucial, but all credit to W.A. they stuck at it.

WA bowled poorly? They bowled the queenslanders out before the 50 was up. And if you look at Marcus North's career strike rate its up in the high 70s. mate if North stayed in he would have got it with 3 overs to spare

Exactly. Once North is played in its amazing what he can do.

I think he had an impact on the game though. His two wickets started the rot for Queensland and really drove in the fightback, which stopped Queensland getting 270. That proved crucial in the end. Mister Wright, WA didn't bowl that badly. Sure they did for the first 12 overs but you can't argue it was that bad afterwards. Harvey and Blocker were superlative.

The first 12 overs in my opinion were a combination of inexperienced bowlers and superb batting. There were a few good balls bowled, but the bad balls outweighed them. Thats just lack of experience in my opinion...

Hmm when I said "Wheres Darren Wates?" a while back, I didnt think he'd come in handy for a six to win the match!

I tell you, that game was so good to watch, un-freaking-beleivable. Especially back here in WA ;)

And Kade Harvey's performance was a true all-round match winning performance. He has such an ability to take wickets with his medium pacers, its just amazing to watch.

I was happier seeing the Warriors win yesterday than I was seeing the Aussies win the 2nd VB series final, purely because they were damn good all season and gritted the game out till the end, even when all looked gone (even Jimmy Maher thought so).

YYYEEEEHHHHHAAAAA! Warriors --->:saint: 's
