Hahahaha, what a picture. Manages to pull off the hipster, rugged and douche canoe look all at once. What a guy.

So our foreign tour cycle is over and we have managed to hang on to #1, could really be looking at a long time at the top now if the next two home series go the way one would expect.

Recently learned that Gill is an opener. How come he doesn't stroll into that opening spot?
Assessing the situation, that looks the obvious option to me. Not sure I know enough about Easwaran but the recent A tour to the Windies Gill blew him out the water.

But it is quite bizarre. Moved on from Vijay. Dhawan out of favour. Rahul's spot lost most recently and Shaw banned. Seems so many recent options.

Rohit being the answer does surprise me. Virat really does love him.

He’s done well again in the SA A game.

Are there any highlights? Want to watch Siraj as well.

No real surprises. Good to see Shubman Gill in the squad to compete.

India’s squad for 3 Tests: Virat Kohli (Capt), Mayank Agarwal, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane (vc), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wk),Wriddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Shubman Gill

Great to see Gill there. He is an absolutely phenomenal talent.

I always feel as an outsider looking in that India messes around too much with their fringe players. Now Rohit opens suddenly and Gill can be used as either a middle order batsman or an opener. Why not just choose one and stick to it for at least 4 or 5 tests?

If India don't open with Gill they've got rocks in their head. Him and Shaw look potential ATG's to me. Burning Nohit as an opener in comparison is silly.
