On a serious note, I do feel we'll have Prasidh eventually in tests, but why push him so early? We have more issues in white ball cricket to fix. Prasidh should feature in our next Aus/SA series.
I mean as far as red ball goes Prasidh was basically on the verge for a debut in England at OT of all places considering the wear and tear over the series. If anything being at home in home conditions is an ideal time to debut. It's true that he's less proven than Marco Jansen in comparison but going by Ishant's general slow exclusion I think it's a valuable punt to take on him, assuming of course that others like Saini and such don't get picked.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Shreyar Iyer's approach? Gets his 50, and almost throws it away in the next ball with an ugly, pre-meditated shot. I've seen him do this every time after he gets settled, tuk tuk BOOM. Very few batsmen can just randomly switch gears like that.

Others? Who are these others? What was he talking about specifically? Is it even clear? We are just assuming every single thing here.
Referring specifically to Ashwin bowling in the first 10 overs in Australia. It’s not an assumption it’s literally Rahane vs Ashwin’s words.

Idk if anyone else has backed up what Ashwin said in this specific instance but it does seem highly improbable that Ashwin would randomly make something up completely.

Definitely a lot of murmurs and 'insider' reports that the past IPL auctions have been less than fair, and I vaguely recall some decisions being made in the early days that ensured the bigger franchises got who they wanted. But this season's auctions seemed pretty transparent.

Ranji trophy starts this week. Hype. Seems like the same structure as last season, teams and players should be getting out of quarantine to prepare soon.

Apart from Rahane, Pujara and Ishant, is there any other test cricketers/near-test cricketers playing Ranji for the states?
