Kapil was also very regular/consistent at scoring ducks and getting out for less than 10 runs more often.
Kapil scored 16 ducks and got out for less than ten runs 64 times in 184 innings (34.78%).
Imran scored 8 ducks & got out for less than ten runs 35 times in 126 innings (27.78%).
So? Kapil was a lower order batsman trying for quick runs without the intention of remaining not out and boosting avg.

0 and 10 makes no difference, while 30s and 40s does.

They have a similar 30's per innings, Imran having a slight edge.
Imran Khan= 39.68%
Kapil Dev= 38.04%

And 0's and 10's from a no. 7/8 may not make a difference as far as match results are concerned, but they sure do have an impact on how the batter is rated, and rightfully so.

Explosiveness doesn't make a batsman good.

Consistency does.
It depends if maximum performance threshold can heavily overwhelm the gap in consistency. I'm not entirely sure it does in Kapil's case but Imran's consistency also had a degree of dependence on slow pitches.
