England saved by rain for the second T20 WC in a row
McJerk is a potential match winner, him and Head could be lethal. Just don’t see what Warner brings now, that he’s been dropped by his IPL team sums it up.
IPL is like anti-cricket

The worse they do in IPL the better they will do in proper games. And vice-versa
https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/...not-be-bowling-early-on-in-tournament-1436137 Does green slot in somewhere given this? Pretty confident we should go

1.Head
2.Warner
3.Marsh
4.Maxwell
5.Stoinis
6.David
7.Wade
8.Cummins
9.Starc
10.Haze
11.Zampa

Not sure i'm as confident in that lineup if marsh is playing as a specialist bat.
Marsh wouldn't bowl much in that XI anyway. He's the 7th or 8th option

Enjoyable day at the Kensington Oval despite the limited cricket. Great atmosphere etc. Anyway shortly before time was called, you’ll all love this, I’m standing up facing away from the pitch, side on. Suddenly, bang. Ball in the face.
Hope you’re okay mate. I’m sure you could well do without more (or any for that matter) head trauma.

big words from the guy whose team was rolled for 109 by Uganda.

love it. it’s true too.
Aus team looks pretty uninspiring

Can't see them doing much tbh. Actually have more faith in Tim ****ing David then the rest of the hacks in the XI

Just watching T20 Blast, Notts vs Northamptonshire, and saw Willey play an amazing innings at n°3, hitting four 6s in a row, and hit 79 in 34 balls.
I feel England haven't trusted him enough.
His T20 record is : 293 matches / 297 wickets @ 7.85 runs per over / 2 hundreds & 15 fifties with the bat.
I wonder if he could have been England's #3 in T20 & allrounder..........
Everytime Willey got a chance to bat he was utterly rubbish. Always tried to smash the ball too hard and inevitable got out.

That's not to say he's not been treated horrendously by England

But I always refer to the Sri Lanka game where Woakes made 90 odd. Was a perfect chance for him to try and move up that batting order and he failed and I don't think he ever batted above Woakes again.

Yet bloke was a superb opener for Northants in his first stint in both 50/20 over cricket. A massive wasted talent despite 100+ games for England.

The fact he was messed about coupled with underpar performance a lot of the time. Saw him give up FC cricket prematurely too, when I think he was more talented at that then say someone like Chris Jordan.

It would have been a tough chase but its a real shame the rain intervened, particularly for Scotland, who batted really well.

Once again though, we've started a tournament sluggishly. Whilst Scotland batted well, our bowling and fielding was pretty ordinary.

If England lose to Aus then the Aussies could ‘accidentally’ lose to Scotland and knock England out….

Think it hit the frames of my glasses. A bit higher and my glasses probably smashed, a bit lower and I suspect I’m wearing some bruises or cuts. Was a tad painful but nothing major. One of Scotland’s players, who the ball came from, and a cameraman checked on me a few times while I assured them I was fine. All the while, my loving wife sat laughing her head off.
Hope you are doing well mate. For those potential cuts and bruises, easiest way to detect them is apply some of the alcohol you were consuming to it.

Australia set to go top of the table with a win over Oman. All they have to do is win by 1 run as none of the 4 other teams in this group have a NRR > 0.00
