Just watching T20 Blast, Notts vs Northamptonshire, and saw Willey play an amazing innings at n°3, hitting four 6s in a row, and hit 79 in 34 balls.
I feel England haven't trusted him enough.
His T20 record is : 293 matches / 297 wickets @ 7.85 runs per over / 2 hundreds & 15 fifties with the bat.
I wonder if he could have been England's #3 in T20 & allrounder..........

Captain Marsh is a bit of a worry as still not recovered from injury. Played the two warm up games making 22 runs off 18 balls, didn't bowl and barely fielded leaving Wade to captain. I'd drop him until he can at least field the whole game

You think Head, Maxwell and Stoinis can't bowl 4 overs between them? Even David can bowl 1 over
Your assuming starc and cummins are good for 4 each? Starc's very hit and miss nowadays in t20, either no wickets going at 10's or unplayable, and cummins just isn't a very good t20 bowler (Since 2022 he's taken 31 wickets at an average of 31 and an econ of 9). In that same period stoinis is averaging 25 @ 9 an over and maxwell is averaging 27 at 8 and a half an over. Cummins gets more usage with the ball when he plays, but his numbers are barely part timer quality.

What a crazy response. Starc, Cummins and Hazlewood will bowl 4 overs every match or they won't be in the next game (plus you do realise Starc was just man of the match his last two IPL games, basically winning the IPL trophy 😆)

Here's a screenshot of the numbers for every innings starc bowled in this IPL (bar the final, missed that). Like I said above, "Starc's very hit and miss nowadays in t20, either no wickets going at 10's or unplayable." If you look at the graphic, that's fairly clear. You've got two clusters, the game where he was unplayable, taking wickets and going for under 8's, and the game's where he was going at 9+ and not taking wickets. His franchise team at a lower level wasn't willing to bowl him out for 4 overs in a fair amount of the later games.

Like I also said on Cummins, on raw numbers he's been taking less wickets, and going for more runs than maxwell and stoinis 2 and a half years. Cummins is gonna bowl 4 overs a game and stay in the team while not performing well enough to hold a spot as a bowler. This has been an issue for ages and was a major reason we missed the semi's last WC.

I think starting XIs will depend on conditions. There'll be some tracks when Ellis and Agar will be more useful than the big 3 quicks.

Good game though. In fact all of them have been good so far. And Wiese finally got a haircut after covid.
Apparently NYPD are mounting big op in Nassau becos of ISIS, which will probably scare off people
attending.

Enjoyable day at the Kensington Oval despite the limited cricket. Great atmosphere etc. Anyway shortly before time was called, you’ll all love this, I’m standing up facing away from the pitch, side on. Suddenly, bang. Ball in the face.

Think it hit the frames of my glasses. A bit higher and my glasses probably smashed, a bit lower and I suspect I’m wearing some bruises or cuts. Was a tad painful but nothing major. One of Scotland’s players, who the ball came from, and a cameraman checked on me a few times while I assured them I was fine. All the while, my loving wife sat laughing her head off.
