Hogg and Symonds are both good cricketers, but you just can't go past Symond's batting. He along with Afridi, Razzaq and Jayasuriya are some of the most destructive players on the ODI scene.
Why not?, ATM Hogg definately will be in the side to the Caribbean next year even if he doesn't play every game (even though he should).Mister Wright said:Even so, I don't think he'll make it to the World Cup. He just isn't used enough.
There's no way Pathan should be dropped from the one-day side. In tests, ZK should definitely be there.silentstriker said:I would have Z. Khan, Agarkar, Munaf and Sreesanth as my four seamers and I'd pick two or three out of those as needed.
Well considering that India play the West Indies as one of their final two games, that's not really possible... at all...aussie said:but India & the windies lose their final two games
yea, i just realised, either one of India or Windies will end up with 2 wins..Mr Mxyzptlk said:Well considering that India play the West Indies as one of their final two games, that's not really possible... at all...
Sorry, I was speaking in general (i.e test side). One day side is there for the experimenting, so not a big deal who plays there.adharcric said:There's no way Pathan should be dropped from the one-day side. In tests, ZK should definitely be there.
Yeah, I saw that. The ICC sure are weird lately with their weird communication screwups. I do think Gayle overstepped the mark, though, contrary to what Sarwan says.pasag said:

I agree that Gayle's behaviour was atrocious. But stirring the favoritism pot using Punter as an example isn't the best ploy, considering that Gayle is usually of good behaviour, and Ponting's on notice after a number of infractions.social said:Gayle completely lost the plot.
Given that he is generally such a laid back character, one would think that he reacted to something that was obviously missed by the umpires.
However, this was as bad as we've seen in recent years and his fine was little more than a slap on the wrist for really atrocious behaviour.
If Ponting had been the one involved, I can imagine that there would've been calls for his head and such a paltry fine regarded as favouritism.
I still wouldn't want Agarkar in the test side. Let him dominate in first-class matches first, because he has a poor test record. On a seamers pitch in SA, I'd go with Munaf-Zaheer-Sreesanth-Kumble. Otherwise, I'd go with Munaf-Zaheer/Sreesanth-Kumble-Bhajji. If Pathan is bowling well, he can come in as the fifth bowler anytime.silentstriker said:Sorry, I was speaking in general (i.e test side). oh god i hope so..... the loser will be the first team to get officially knocked out of the tournamentsideshowtim said:Hoping for a good win against England. I think we'll come out fired up and lift the intensity a few notches.
They'll only be the first team officially knocked out if a series of other results across both groups go the right way.Laurrz said:oh god i hope so..... the loser will be the first team to get officially knocked out of the tournament
