Do you support Aus when they play India pup?Matt79, I am Indian mate, but i have been supporting Australian cricket for a long time i just love the Baggygreen culture and to say i support Aussies because they win a lot of games is not fair because no matter whether the aussies win or not i would still support them.
I also have a lot of relatives living in Australia so you can count that as another reason.
Unfair I think pup. I don't think Indian players are any more motivated by money than those of any other country tbh.Yup, Fiery i do support the Aussies when they play against India.
But hey don't get me wrong there i really am patriotic towards my country but i don't consider the Indian team as representatives of my country, they are bunch of men employed by the BCCI who have only have one thought in mind how to make big bucks.
OK, I'll admit I'm not in the greatest position to comment on Indian cricket and the politics involved but don't you think the players would still play the game even if they weren't being paid? Being professional and having to be as good as possible to maximise their earning potential suggests to me they would be trying their hardest when playing for their country. I just find it difficult to comprehend how you can support another nation over your own.Come and spend some time in India Fiery and you will understand what i am talking about mate.
Bloody politicians are running the game in India because they know that the kind of money that cricket produces in India is even more than annual turn-overs of huge multinational companies.
I didn't think you had a case to clear personally, you can support whoever you like.So Fiery i hope i have cleared my case there mate.
