International Captain
Trueman didn't play enough overseas relative to other top ATG bowlers but I don't think touring India and Pakistan back then would have made much if any difference. The 1958/59 Australia tour was perhaps his big miss but ultimately the big miss was missing so many games.

DrWolverine

International Debutant
Ken Barrington has an extraordinary away record
WI : Avg of 44 in 10 Tests
Aus : Avg of 70 in 10 Tests
NZ : Avg of 73 in 3 Tests
Pak : Avg of 76 in 2 Tests
Ind : Avg of 96 in 6 Tests

For Trueman’s stature his away record is bad
in NZ : Avg of 14 in 4 Tests
in Aus : Avg of 27 in 8 Tests
in WI : Avg of 32 in 8 Tests

International Coach
He sucked in England but he was good outside of it etc etc etc
I mean, he played his whole international career in his absolute peak. As I said, he sucked in SA as well (and FTR he was a Saffa, no reason to defend him here).
