One of the most overrated English cricketer and one of the most underrated English cricketer...... The overrated just takes it

Trueman didn't play enough overseas relative to other top ATG bowlers but I don't think touring India and Pakistan back then would have made much if any difference. The 1958/59 Australia tour was perhaps his big miss but ultimately the big miss was missing so many games.

Yeah I think you'd have to go back to Graveney/Appleyard to find one. Maybe Robin Smith, but then again he suffers from the Greig problem of having a 20-second career.

You can't bring up the topic of underrated cricketers and bring up Tony ****ing Greig in ffs!!! He had a non Test FC average of 28 FCOL

I mean, he played his whole international career in his absolute peak. As I said, he sucked in SA as well (and FTR he was a Saffa, no reason to defend him here).
