Trueman didn't play enough overseas relative to other top ATG bowlers but I don't think touring India and Pakistan back then would have made much if any difference. The 1958/59 Australia tour was perhaps his big miss but ultimately the big miss was missing so many games.

Yeah I think you'd have to go back to Graveney/Appleyard to find one. Maybe Robin Smith, but then again he suffers from the Greig problem of having a 20-second career.

I mean, he played his whole international career in his absolute peak. As I said, he sucked in SA as well (and FTR he was a Saffa, no reason to defend him here).
