It doesn't matter if the pitches were different (since it's the same pitch for both sides)]

First of all you should KNOW what is being discussed and is being compared and only THEN should you come up with a post.

Bizzare claimed that England batsmen would have done better than the Indian batsmen against NZ had they played recently just because they had done better the last time they played in NZ! Here you will have 2 take into account the change in the nature of the pitch, English batsmen may or may not have done better BUT 2 say that a different pitches doesn't matter since its the same pitch for both sides SHOWS where you stand:rolleyes:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

][/QUOTE] And yes the bowling attacks are different, but so are the 2 sides. No matter what you say, India crumbled in NZ yet last time England played there they fought a good drawn series.

I pointed out that England faced a NZ team with a different bowling lineup (Bond and Tuffy didn't played against Eng) .Here i was comparing the same side i.e New Zealand in different time period with a different composition, therefore the comparison between the 2 series (NZ/Eng & NZ/Ind) becomes more difficult.

Understand???

What is this obsession with comparing India and England.Every thread becomes an India-England one with either side coming up with lame arguments about who is better.

Forget about India-England. Both the teams are about to go deep sea diving in the southern pacific and probably never come up :D .....and here we have folks trying to fathom how we will joust each other down there in the pits  ...come on fellas..give it up.

As for the India-Eng matchup, it was settled this summer....out of 7 test matches, India won 2 and Eng won 1 with 4 drawn. The two teams are close but India won the overall series and that's that.

I never claimed sthat I was saying something better.....all I said is its time to move on and look at other stuff.India is no longer playing England....both teams are getting shellacked by someone else and let's worry about those.

Doubtful, England are playing Zimbabwe at home after the World Cup.

Not only are the pitches worse than the last time, but also the bowling attack is different.Bond, Tuffy etc weren't playing in the mentioned series!
I'm sorry, but if you are going to continue with your tactic of telling people to get their stats right then you had better get yours sorted too :P

Tuffey indeed played against England for New Zealand in January and took career best figures of 6-54 in the last Test of the Series to win the Test for New Zealand and draw the Series.

It's not hard is it

I am talking about now, right after the Ashes for Eng and the NZ series for India..... they are in the southern pacific area.... The Aussies and the black caps are gonna make sure that they are thrown into the pacific and then both the teams can meet each other in the abyss.

Nope, that would mean India would miss the chance to win the World Cup :saint:

I'd say...never mind the world cup, worry about the sharks...  ...the world cup is for those who stay afloat :D
Let me remind you how the Australian Ancestors were transported to Australia from England...then maybe you will think again about a comment like that

That was a one way ticket  ..... it has never been tried the other way round...the Indian teams ability to dodge the sharks is doubtful, to say the least :D

Haha another dumb reply, don't mean to be harsh on you but why can't you guys think before replying? The discussion was about how Indian batters had fared poorly at CHRISTCHURCH test center and how England batsmen would have done well had they been playing at the SAME center (Based on the fact that Hussain had come up with a ton leading to a victory over NZ a year back).Tuffy NEVER played at Christchurch test match, he ONLY played at Auckland test match which NZ indeed won it!!

Dumb reply is it? It's a Test GROUND not a Test CENTRE! It's not even a Center...sheesh! Anyway I didn't say Tuffey (and that's Tuffey not Tuffy) played at Christchurch (or as you put it CHRISTCHURCH) I said he played in the series? Ok?

HUh?? pointing out to a few spelling mistakes , thats all you could have done , right? The fact that you pointed out that Tuffey played in that series while the discussion was about a test match played at Christchurch in which Tuffey didn't played speak volumes of your brillance!!
