2nd XI season is underway with a 3 dayer against the students.

Minto and Hogg in the side which is good news. Also playing are Killeen, Stan, Badger and Parky.

Students batting currently 54/3. Hogg 2 wickets, Killeen 1.

With Parky, Minto and Hogg playing in this one, I guess they are not available for Friday.

My hunch therefore would be that the only changes would be Bedders and Doggett in for Clark and Coggers.

Harsh on Clark but I can't see them dropping Gay or Rhodes without giving them a run in the side.

With the forecast for a balmy 19°C tomorrow I'll have a pop along to the Racecourse. Always brings back great memories of the early days - Dean Jones ' century in our first Sunday League game against Lancs and making the Aussies follow on in 1993 to name but two.

Good knock today from Badger.

A couple of surprises-

Parky opening the batting. Privilege of being skipper?

Robbie Bowman keeping wicket. I would have thought Mustard would have had the gloves.

Enjoyed your pre-match preview, whilst I can’t post I can still atleast see beyond the iron curtain…

Interesting to see how many injuries they have, if Woakes isn’t allowed to play they could be very thin on bowling resources. I know it’s early doors, but this game really does feel like a big opportunity and one which we need to take with both hands.

This fixture last season was cancelled a week in advance due to the godawful weather - what a difference.

Interesting that there's a welcome back Bedders message on the Durham site but no mention of Doggett.

Quiet on here, seems like the rats have gone BACK to the sinking ship 🙄

Anyway, I’ll go:

Lees
McKinney
Gay
Rhodes
Bedingham
Ackermann
Robinson
Coughlin
Raine
Potts
Hogg

Don’t rate Drissell at all, he isn’t good enough in my opinion to be a red ball spinner. Might aswell have more seam variation and making do with Ackermann.

Robinson must be moved to 7, his form simply doesn’t warrant batting higher, but more to the point, if he and the club want to further his England chances - that’s the only slot that he’s going to get a gig. England’s batting at 4, 5 and 6 is secure, unless there’s an injury crisis, he isn’t getting in there.

Well you had it right for a seam only attack. Pitch looks pretty green on twitter so bat first is an interesting one, but we know it is better to bat first here these days unless overcast.

BTW you don't need to wait for the next person to post before you can post on here again. If you want to add more posts!

I was on here first by a decade so I'm not going anywhere

Will Rhodes as a number 7 is just mental unless he's left Warks to become an all rounder?
