Don’t know if anyone is following the snooker today

Higgins was 5-1 up but Selby won 7 on the spin until Higgins stopped the rot

8-6 now on itv4. First to 10

I mentioned earlier I’ve a lock in 5% profit minimum whoever wins this

I hope they prove me wrong but I can see four wickets down by the close of play.
They did, but only just.

First big test of the season coming up, let’s see what this group are made of. We bat deep, our 9, 10 and 11 in the first innings all have FC centuries to their name - we probably need two centurions tomorrow if we’re going to survive.

It’s been a hugely frustrating three days, with the benefit hindsight now I have to concede that what I initially thought was competitive; our first innings was actually poor. What is annoying is that there’s been very little real difference between the two sides, but what differences there have been have been exaggerated as to the outcome. We were two down in both innings for not many, they made 60 odd before they lost a wicket in theirs and on reflection we were always just one or two wickets too many in the wicket column during our first go. Whereas when we bowled, we were always probably just out of reach of being on top owing to the start they had. On top of that, most of their lads have valued their wicket and been difficult to dismiss, only really Slater was a gift, but we had 4/5 lads give their wicket away in the first innings. It’s remarkable how poorly we’ve dealt with O’Neil, he’s been decent but I don’t think he’s been anywhere near as good as his match figures suggest - which is another huge annoyance, because based on the eye test, their other bowlers have been absolute fodder.

I want to also mention McKinney, whilst he must be given time to develop and grow, it’s so frustrating seeing him get out the way he did today, he played and missed at a couple before he edged one and was dropped, then in the next over did exactly the same, a couple of play and misses before the inevitable edge. I saw it coming a mile off, to get done so often in quick succession like that was really poor. If he’s got international aspirations he’s going to have to correct that particular flaw quickly.

Good review again branners. It hard to disagree or debate anything as you clearly were on the same thoughts I had especially with the boy Mckinnney

hopefully some of the big lads will try and get into him to just rein it in especially when getting a life

though having said that with the current international regime getting out to brain farts appears to be the way to stay in the team

example being crawley

agree with most but O’Neil been very impressive when I’ve been watching, most balls on the money

We are playing for too cautiously, you can’t just defend all day, Robinson would have been better playing his natural game

Notts have a better attack than us mind

can’t help but think the Rhodes money could have been used on a bowler

I've said it before but I still can't get my head round the Rhodes signing and role we have him playing in the side. Throughout his career he's a top order batsman, usually at 3 who bowls the occasional over. We have decided to use him at number 6 and as our 4th seamer which imbalances the team and massively weakens our bowling attack, especially as we don't have a spinner good enough to chip in with wickets on a regular basis.

Clark is doing better than Rhodes and Gay in this match but he will probably be the one who gets dropped for Bedingham.
De Leede in for Clark Bedders in for one of Gay/Rhodes is more what I'd expect.

Then Doggett for Coughlin and or Potts depending on ECB interference.

Although doesn't look like Doggett will offer much with the bat, a FC average of 8.

Bedders for Clark, Doggett for Coughlin is my guess.

Having a proper rabbit isn’t too much of an issue given we have a number 11 with a FC hundred in the current game and we’re still in the **** 😂
