Another disappointing effort, and really I think we have enough depth and talent to consistently produce successful results in our favour.
We've done wonderfully well so far, but the youngsters who are getting this opportunity with the star players away really need to step up and make names for themselves. This is the perfect opportunity, some of our younger guys must seize it with both hands.

Well, I've been away for a while and Blues have whooped those confounded Blacks a fair few times since my absence. Well done guys.
Awesome job by the new captains as well in continuing my good ground work.
A question though, why was I dropped from 25Smash cricket? I've only batted twice and have average of 30! Anyway, performances from the side have improved anyway so maybe it was right thing to do.
Not sure I'm happy with Tom captaining though.

Daily Blast Comment: Dropped catches ruined it for CW Black. The only things worse than 7 catches going down on day one was that 5 of them were off one bowler - young Yasa Fayaz. For a team weakened on paper, the Blacks showed that they can still compete with the best of them, but the fielding and occasional lapses in concentration with the bat prevented victory. Still, I'm sure that all involved will more than settle for a draw all things considered.

Daily Blast Comment: This was a tale of two captains. First off, Ian Markus won the toss and chose to bowl on a horridly rainy day. His decision was justified well as his bowlers took wickets amidst the most frustrating run of interruptions surely in cricket history. The Red batsmen then denied their Green opponents and took a handy 104-run lead on first innings (anchored by "Atherton" Vimes and Deeps) and the captains faced off. Age Master stroked perhaps the most stunning of centuries in First Class cricket but got little support anyone other than a distinctly purposeful Jamee999. Set to chase 162, there appeared to be some nerves in the Red camp initially, with memories of a failed low run chase still fresh. This set the scene for Ian Markus to play an attacking and fruitful unbeaten knock to carry his team to much-needed victory.

Daily Blast Comment: This was a tale of two captains. First off, Ian Markus won the toss and chose to bowl on a horridly rainy day. His decision was justified well as his bowlers took wickets amidst the most frustrating run of interruptions surely in cricket history. The Red batsmen then denied their Green opponents and took a handy 104-run lead on first innings (anchored by "Atherton" Vimes and Deeps) and the captains faced off. Age Master stroked perhaps the most stunning of centuries in First Class cricket but got little support anyone other than a distinctly purposeful Jamee999. Set to chase 162, there appeared to be some nerves in the Red camp initially, with memories of a failed low run chase still fresh. This set the scene for Ian Markus to play an attacking and fruitful unbeaten knock to carry his team to much-needed victory.

We did superbly to fight back after a tough first innings, the toss was crucial, unfortunatly i didn't win it. nevertheless enough of us got starts in the first innings that should have been gone on with. Hoy, Rose and Marjin bowled well to keep Red to 274 . And only Myself and Jamie got runs in the 2nd innings, with Rose also adding runs in the lower order. The bowling was again good in the 2nd innings but unfortunatley Markus got away from us. We will have to get them back in the OD and 25Smash games we have against them soon.
