what can i say? Very frustrating again... We just do't know how to finish the game. We were in control for so long and we let all our good work for the first few games go undone with the bat. We were looking at creating depth with the bt and putting guys like Nibblet and Mookerjee in to see how they faired yet they let us done. This was a really really weak and pitiful performance from the batsman, there's no hiding. The only guys who can hold there heads up high are Jagaways and Ghansar. Other than those to no one got over 25 in both innings of batting. What are we supposed to do reds? Our experienced guys are away and the young guys get a go with the bat. Personally I thought they'd be keen to really show their stuff!!! I'm obviously mistaken....

The fielding was also aweful again. We put time and effort into yet it's us dropping the catches not them. Admittedly I didn't hold one either but for half the team to drop one in the game isn't cricket at ths level.

Kennett bowled very well with the ball and all round the bowling was fine... and the batsman all owe the bowlers a drink at the bar tonight for this performance.

very happy with my debut as blues captain, firstly id like to thank you guys for having faith in me to make me temporary skipper. muhaffy, well, what a great effort, pretty easy job as a captain when you have bowlers performing like that! on a personal note another 50 is a good return, but overall im delighted with the win.

however id like to question the logic of not enforcing the follow on, we lead by nearly 300 runs, and considering we knocked them over for 60 odd, would have been ideal to go straight for the juggular. Anyway we won in the end and thats all that matters, good job team :)

Time to call back the football pep-talker!!!

Now there's someone who'' *really* get respected! ;)
Lol. There wasn't any intention for him to captain the side at the time, as the Broncoman injury came after. Anyway, it's only 25Smash cricket. ;)

But the Aussies would have batted again and added to the pain. :) It was day two of the match I believe and they could well have batted again and scored enough to put Blue under pressure on day 5. That way, victory was pretty much out of their reach considering that they chased 500+ on a worn pitch.

That is quite possibly the most disappointing loss I've ever participated in. Such an easy target yet we choked once more, I just don't know how we do it. Of course, even more disappointed would be our captain Ian, after a superb bowling effort to lose like that, I can imagine that would be devestating. C'mon Red's, show some pride out there, don't sell your wickets cheaply. We know that we have the ability to win, we just can't seem to pull ourselves over the line when the pressure hits. A big congrats to Zaid for his magnificent 100* in the first dig, glad I lasted long enough for you to get there, and its a pleasure to watch brilliant bowling come from the hands of the skipper, phenomenal performance Ian, keep it up.

GO RED'S We know we can do it.

Ouch. To not chase 154 is a travesty...and to think our best batsman was run out, too.

*wondering why I always have to say ouch lately*

Haha, I denied Muhaffy his ten-fer! But on a serious note, gotta give it up to the man, even if we were on the receiving end, what a spell. :o Just wait til next time though, we'll spank you. >:o

Anyway, time to pick ourselves up greens. :}
