not happy considering we lost after we had it in the bag. happy with my 70 odd how come i am vice captain when marc is in the side, then he is off on duty and i dont even get the captaincy (nothing against u ian). just asking a general question thats all!

I believe marc posted it earlier in the thread. Something to do with you having a good chance of selection in the ODI series (which means you wont be playing for reds), and giving Markus experience captaining while you wont be there.

Anything else to cry about?

Hmm, that recent loss was frustrating, so close, yet so far.

I take that loss personally, as if i had of saved a couple of extra runs in my already expensive bowling, we could of been across the line. Or I had of scored just a few extra runs, instead of finishing 4* from 6, we would of been across the line.

However it wasnt the case. Big congrats to Bugs for the great innings to keep us in the hunt, and also big congrats to Imran Khan Jr for his great bowling, with 3 wickets and a decent econ, couldnt ask for more.

Lets look forward to next game, and hope for a better result.

Great effort Red's, nearly had them!!!

Poor, unpenetrative OD bowling by me once more, need to find some form, take another 7-22 or something close. I have the ability, I just can't seem to use it often enough. Will definitely be working on my OD bowling some more, get it up to my earlier season 5D form and I'll be happy.

If anyone else needs a game give them a try, although hopefully my performances will get better quickly.

I did post it in here, I also sent you an email telling you the reasons why to avoid this sort of outburst.

Great to see Green continuing strongly and also for Majin to bowl a full ten overs and take his first wicket in the league, not to mention going for a notable 2.4 in the eco-rate, truely invaluable for ten overs in a 50 over game. Cloete also bowling well, and I probably don't even need to mention Hoy's contributions. Brilliant batting by Cloete and Blewy, hopefully we can cover for them once they head off to attend international duties...

Unlucky Reds, nearly had them...(if only my economy was a run a ball rather than 7.6...paper bag time again)

GO REDS!!!!

After your previous efforts with the ball, we can allow you one off day.

Bad luck boys - at least we're all pulling in the same direction now though.

boy oh boy im sorry guys being an experienced batter at the crease I should have guided the way through for the reds, believe me it hurts even more to see that it was the blacks again winning by such a small margin. Im sorry for the dropped catch maybe things would have been different.
Anyways good to be here playing in the team my invitational call for cwbcc 11 was nothing but a single innings, Hope to move up the order soon, can be more effective up than getting notouts down. GOO REDS finally wins are looking closer n closer, good fight by all.

our winning sreak comes to an end because of some rather poor batting... not the best, but what the hey, lets get back on track and try to hang on while our players are out.

Cricket Web Black won by 8 wkts.

Daily Blast Comment: Dominance. That's the only way to describe the way CW Black stamped on CW Green in the 2nd innings. Indeed, after knocking over Green for 254 (including another Cloete century attempt), the Blacks found themselves in huge trouble and only managed to compete due a maiden hundred from BK Smith and a close call by David Kearsley. All others scored 51 runs between them. Then it was on to the bowlers. First Pickup ripped through the top order, then it was over to the seamers. Mr Ponting consistently clocked over 92mph and bowled with genuine aggression. Master Blaster was accurate at lively pace and fetched seam movement. Chris Broadbent was solid on line and length with a bit of swing. For Green, Biased Indian in particular tried his best to stick about, but it was too much and the Blacks set up a comfortable win within 3 days.

Daily Blast Comment: The Reds have clearly forgotten how to win. They led this one by 159 runs on first innings, but poor fielding and some devastating batting by Andrew Symonds in particular took it away. In the end they played it safe and took a draw instead of the possibility of losing from such a winning position.
