On the whole a great team effort, well played!:)

Eclispe dropped a catch off me, which *i think* is the only one ive had dropped off me so far. Ive been lucky.
or u jsut havent played much cricket :p
na seriousl good debut mate, and welcome to the team. think that win should keep us near the top, as we are in both of the other forms of the game

Good win boys!!! that's what i'm talking about...
It was great to see Jagaways out there having fun with the bat to knocking a few balls to the fence.
On a personal note it was the first time I've really felt comfortable playing the 25 over game which was great

5-1 to the Greens. ;)

Thanks, age! Looks like the teams we have most trouble against are the English and the Aussies - nice to see we've won every single 5D game against our opposing CW Colours to date, though. Great form in 25Smash and 5D, though, overall - makes you wonder why we can't handle the "inbetween" version of the game so well.

A well done to you on your captaincy debut Slats - pleased to see you managed the side well, and lead from the front with a superb knock.

How come that came about? I thought Bugssy was vice captain. Doesn't that make him next in the pecking order?

The selection team decided to make a change with others having done well at the top of the order, and you not quite so good. We also wanted Slats to see where he'd be more comfortable as he was skippering as well.

Initially Bugs was away for this game (and the next) with the invitation side, and then there is an immediate ODI Tournament, which with his status he is almost certain to be picked.

For that reason we needed a new captain, and Slats was considered the man to do it.

For the record, I was never going to play the Smash game even if available in order to give him a chance.

Timewell could well be gunning for a CWXI place soon.
Obviously, it would be an honour to represent CW XI but at the moment, I'm not going to think about it - I'll stick to getting my wickets, hopefully at a decent S/R rate with a good economy rate and getting occasional runs when needed. I still think I have a long way to go before I get into the CW XI - need to be a lot more consistent.

But thanks for the praise - it's nice to be recognised. :)

Touche! I think with our form in the 5D and 25Smash competitions is good enough for us to get a trophy this year...COME ON THE GREENS!

Well, I'm back after my last Smash25 game, I had some intensive training with Dennis Lillee, and I must say I feel a lot better about my bowling now, had a few things to work out in my action.

Great to see the Reds competing and doing superbly in the Smash25 competition.

On a personal note I was bitterly disapointed to sit out the Chairman's game, as I was keyed up to prove myself to the selectors.
