that was a top display out there!!! the might of the blacks and we pushed them all the way. top declaration was unlucky not to pay off we had them on the ropes.

The batting was by far the best it's been all year. everyone contributed and it seemed like everyone wanted to be out there giving it their best...

A lot of this can be put down to an inspirational speech by Marc at the bar the night before the game. Whilst the public's quick to criticise this was something that stood out and turned around our performance this round.

well done guys..

ps vimesy u were really exciting to watch in the first innings.... 68 off 300

Any batsman that can bat for more than 500 balls for 160odd runs and 300 balls for 68 is a joy to behold IMO. :w00t:

Thats right, scoring slowly is an art. Imagine how frustrating that would be to the bowler, much like my 1 off 91 balls in the tail earlier this season, sticking around is very important (So is scoring runs but I can only do the former, not the latter :P)

this is bad, now im making runs the teams lost one :(

they out batted and outbowled us in this one, twin centuries to pieterson won them the game.

Great effort mr indian for a 5wi, blewy, waughney and cloete for 1/2 tons

lets fire up for the next one now, making sure we win it so we dont lose much momentum

Never meant to make it sound like I thought you were having a go at him, although I can see why it looked like that. Damned happy he's scoring runs for the team, and staying out there.

Once upon a time, that was the point of the opener...blocking the new ball and protecting the best batsmen...

Man of the match: A Massive Zebra

Daily Blast Comment: Fantastic win for Red, but a great effort by CW Green. Deeps played a wonderful unbeaten knock to guide his team home, but David Kennett played a crucial role too with his late order resistence. The Greens were inspired by Hoy's early burst, but they just couldn't pull it out in the end. Excellent match.

Batting, CW Blue lost early wickets, but the everclassy Craig stuck about and struck a mature and crucial unbeaten half-century. Not to be forgotten also is Dylan Jellett's contribution, though just short of a fifty. Good win.
